Remember playing the BF2 demo disc on PS2 and not thinking much of it. Think that was the disc that also came with the Shadow of the Colossus demo, which let you swing your sword while hanging from the side of the horse, feature removed from the full game.

The western road to Erromon.
Apparently, many of the changes; the added BF2 maps and new heroes, are just lifted from some modder's work porting the assets from the Xbox live content to PC. The bits they lifted aren't even from the most recent version of the mod and use inferior animations. Good ol' Aspyr, always doing the bare minimum to get by.

Especially when Steam says there's only English VO. Even having 4K versions of the cutscenes shouldn't be that big.

High res textures don't turn a 10 GB game into a 60 GB one. And that trailer shows the vanilla textures.

The selling point is native and active multiplayer, but will these games get a sizeable multiplayer community outside of like, 15 guys in their mid 30s?
The mainstream public is okay with the newer EA-led versions. Outside of the initial drama, it seems the games did maintain a notable playerbase.

okay okay i kinda had to get it cuz swbf2 is one of my fav games of all time

basically sp is great and graphics are a lot better so that's nice, also lots of people playing
I guess there was some trouble with servers on release day, but that's been *mostly* fixed, but it's still a bit laggy so mp on the original feels better, hopefully they can fix this soon
these assholes patched some wall glitches that I used to love using, so I'm really more mad about that than anything

Aspyr somehow managed to release an unfinished version of a finished game.

Is this worthy for codex award for worst game release of decade?
