  • Welcome to rpgcodex.net, a site dedicated to discussing computer based role-playing games in a free and open fashion. We're less strict than other forums, but please refer to the rules.

"This message is awaiting moderator approval": All new users must pass through our moderation queue before they will be able to post normally. Until your account has "passed" your posts will only be visible to yourself (and moderators) until they are approved. Give us a week to get around to approving / deleting / ignoring your mundane opinion on crap before hassling us about it. Once you have passed the moderation period (think of it as a test), you will be able to post normally, just like all the other retards.

This site was special because anybody could say anything they wanted but I see this site taking on more of a filtering and censorship role

Speaking as someone who is always having brain farts in my daily life, I advise you to never admit to having trouble figuring something out - it's downright undignified.
But I did figure it out eventually. This is just usability feedback on behalf of other newcomers.

I also closed that popup right away - and I'm sure many other do as well - after which the rules page becomes hard to find again (why not link to the rules from the Terms and rules page, where you'd expect to find them?). Furthermore the popup text doesn't mention the Ratings limitation, so you must still read all the rules to learn about that. Why not use the empty Help page to inform about such things (as well as any other limitations, like hidden sub-forums)?
A lot of those things make sense but tbh the help pages are just the forum software default BS that various European countries decide everyone needs to have. Like those annoying THIS SITE USES COOKIES boxes that pop-up. Like cookies? Wow. Who even knew the internet used cookies? Please remind me at EVERY. WEBSITE. I. VISIT.
