I was looking at your skills list, and I saw axes, and something caught my eye.

Do you guys have pick axes for weapons, like they do less overall damage but have much better armor penetration value?

Yes, we have them. We looked for weapons with different properties that could be easily explained without involving magic (like pilum, for example).

If I remember correctly there's a pilum that disables shields, a bearded axe that can pull away shields, khopesh that can ignore/work around shields, pick axe with better armor penetration. What other special properties are there, and do all weapon types have some sort of speciality?

Yes, all weapon types have some traits (see this discussion for some info):

As for the other special properties: knockdown, interrupt, disarm, concealable (handy for assassins), vs shield, vs armor, vs unarmored (think of hollow point bullets), etc.
