I usually have mish-mash 'vidya' in my dreams, when that occurs. Nothing particular that would suggest one single game. More like general stuff from many assorted vidyas + my own sick surreal interpretation of all that.
video games aren't dead, lad.Maybe its all because the first game i ever played on the PC was Max Payne 2( i know thats not hardKore enough but whatever). And i guess it just set the expectations too high. I thought, this is what games are like? Wow... Wow! It turned out there was just a couple of good ones. But it didnt matter cause there were gonna be sequels and new better games coming out. I remember playing Hitman Contracts and thinking, man i cant wait for Hitman 4. The graphics are gonna be just like in that CGI trailer and his suit is gonna flap in the wind just like that and everything. Then years gone by and H4 finally came out and the suit wasnt how i imagined it and they fucked up his walking and running but damn it, it was a good game. So good that looking back i think: what were they thinking, making a good game like that? Thats crazy...
But it was just an exception. Then H5 came out and brought me back to reality. Recently Max Payne 3 also came out but by that time i knew how its gonna turn out. It comes 10 years later and its worse in every possible conceivable way and i swear it even looks worse. It looks worse, hows that even possible?? How?! Or maybe im just losing my mind... I dont know.
In either case it doesnt matter anymore because lets face it... video games are dead. Theyre dead. Game over. Well, it was fun while it lasted... But fun is fun and done is done.
See No Evil.Max Payne isnt a stealth game... But theyre dead too, no question about it. Like all the rest. If youre not convinced than name me one good game, just one that came out in the last couple years and thats not some platforming puzzle bullshit or whatever. Just one...
