According to Water_Wendi at NeoGaf:

Says she beat the game completing almost all quests and killing no one.

Wait, doesn't this simply mean that she recruited Boone and had him solo the entire game for her?

If so that's....pretty lame.

Pretty much. People put way too much stock in this stupid technicality crap. Like having a party of 4+ and some summons in Arcanum and saying "well my main character never killed anyone (directly)!"

Ironically, I think NWN 1 came close to this with the Animal Empathy skill it had -- though I can't remember any rats in particular that I had used it on... Dire Rats, maybe?

Ah, so non-combat was important in the original Fallout but not in New Vegas. I see. Not that I give a fuck. I like blowin' people up in both turn-based and real-time.

Well, the only reason that argument even happened was because Andhaira wanted to prove how fucking stupid he was (and still is).

Wrong, you can solo the game without killing anyone and doing almost all of the quests.
You must have teleportation, invisibility, the second spell of the college of nature to calm animals, purification or something for the undeads, high diplomacy obviously, high bartering to buy tons of scrolls until you have enough xp for the wanted spells, high thieving abilities plus oiled thievery armor and light-fingers gauntlets to boost your stats.

Thats not what i did. i didnt use companions to fight for me. The only people that fought for me were guards and animals with the Animal Friend perk.

edit:
i got by everything by sneaking and talking and running away. Just like how things worked in Fallout.

You misunderstand, Kz3r0, I never said it was impossible - I said the technicality-based mindset is stupid.

Anyway, how do you deal with the two incorporeal skeletal guards in the end area that must be killed to enter the building? I forget the specific names but it takes place in the void when entering the final fortress area.

Having -20 alignment as background and using the potion of the darkest whatever that you steal in Tarant, in short everything that affect negatively your alignment.

Yeah, I can see this being possible and that's kind of neat. Too much emphasis is placed on this being possible in ANY RPG though, if you ask me.

Great, finally some other game that doesn't rely on moronic scripting to finish quests again.

I like it in NV. You can kill everybody in the game, but you don't have to kill anyone to finish it.

Good job.

To mess with your head.

What's the point of playing Deus Ex without killing anyone? At least, New Vegase is an attempt of RPG.

Though I don't quite see the benefit in playing in such a manner, nice job on having the patience to do so.

Frankly, i find that boring and psychopathic, though i have done much worse on some strategy games.

Eh? Conquering the world in Total War exclusively by bribe-buying enemy settlements, or increasing your territory in a Paradox game solely relying on diplo-annex?
