Is it just me or does this game seem to be inclining with each update?

Yeah, it's definitely getting more varied, which is good.

Morkar said:
Cool! I already waited for an update. I'm wondering if you can stand the ground battles till endgame :P

No clue! :P With the interface being that horrible, however, I understand my chances may be pretty slim...

Korenzel gains a level, too. His options: Create fireball (49) // Brainblast (63) // Heal wounds // Identify opponent // Paralyse opponent (17) // Intimidate opponent // Disarm opponent (36). Hmm, Heal wounds it is, then.
Any reason you don't give me any offensive ability ? Not that I mind being the healer, but I remember you mentioning some risk in using too high level a power, but don't remember what those are exactly.

No particular reason apart from healing being really useful and no particular risk apart from your Max Mental energy being quite low while you're low-level. Will probably give you Create fireball on the next level-up, though. Word.

And thanks for the trade analysis. :salute: :salute: Yeah, the Whale's storage capacity is indeed quite limited, alas.

Also, geez, 2 LPs at once with regular (good) updates? You're a machine.

Thanks! :love: RK47 is the true machine, though. My updates are quite basic and don't take much time to write.

Another update :love: I like the Scifi tones, this was the rpg that Mass Effect was supposed to be... Before it turned into Mass Erect.

8: Nedax: Aqua and Necth

In which we explore, get attacked, and the plot thickens -- now involving pirates, aliens, and Federation soldiers!

Previously on this LP we escorted a friendly spaceship with illegal cargo to Nedax. Time to glide down to the planet's surface, I guess, and find Kevin Grove, the contact Commander Tenz told us about.

RlbrP.jpg

Water, water everywhere!
We're given the option to beam to Acqua, one of the underwater cities, so I assume we should do just that.

eXbeN.jpg

And here we are.

Whale's Voyage -- Aqua map (Nedax)

ZDovf.jpg

Policemen can be so mean. :/

cAHzC.jpg

LFTF3.jpg

Cities on Nedax are all so brown and yellow.

8s0f8.jpg

And here's the local bar. Erwin's the barkeep.

7973.jpg
I am new in that town.

8279.jpg
This is your problem!

So rude. :roll:

7973.jpg
Any news?

8279.jpg
No.

Okay, let's have something to drink, then. This is a bar, after all.

7973.jpg
Give me something to drink.

TFk5r.jpg

Screw you, another worthless NPC!

N3mY4.jpg

The bar sure looks swell. So many bottles and stuff.

WOJAB.jpg

We can even pick up some empty bottles and glasses. I have a bad habit of grabbing everything that isn't nailed down (in video games at least), so we pick up a bottle and a glass. Who knows if they're going to be useful further down the road?

CWqBw.jpg

Smells bad? No wonder.

pqjX2.jpg

Glass. Empty. Laconic.

Vl1Wq.jpg

And here's the Kevin Grove we've been looking for!

7973.jpg
Hello.

GqUXa.jpg

My, you're so impatient!

7973.jpg
Commander Tenz told us that we should meet.

8280.jpg
I knew that you would come.

HsJ6X.jpg

Revolution, yay! It's like that thing another LP of mine was talking about.

8280.jpg
But now we have a chance to be more powerful.

Oh really?

8280.jpg
The pirates want to join our revolution.

8280.jpg
One pirate leader is going to meet one of our members. This meeting is very important for us and we need someone bringing these both together.

Looks like...

our next quest!
:yeah:

PXgw8.jpg

8280.jpg
...meet him in Necth. The coordinates are 45/17.

We're on it.

LnzRY.jpg

Some police officers are quite friendly. They don't have anything different to say from those on Castra, however.

rdCji.jpg

There are some rude soldiers patrolling the corridors. I guess they're watching us because
we'll soon be fighting some of them in Necth!

AdeEo.jpg

They look funny. :P

Dhmd2.jpg

And here's Mark Soft, the local shopkeer.

4fFUw.jpg

He has some great weapons, Plasma guns, for sale! :incline:
We're rich and so buy two of them -- for Grotley and Kingcomrade.

SW18r.jpg

We also buy an Infrared device and some ammo.

vtMq4.jpg

Cool.
And a Flamethrower:

xhUIM.jpg

Here's the Infrared device description:

BgmME.jpg

Everything seems to be going quite well. But in fact it is not. The thing is, we are now overencumbered.
And in this game when you're overencumbered, you steadily lose HP until you die.
:retarded:

Yup, no kiddin'. So we have to sell all but Grotley's gun back.

C4rBz.jpg

Our vision is infrared now, yay!
No need for that right now, though.

hDP8s.jpg

And to Necth we fly!

Whale's Voyage - Necth map (Nedax)

rw6dL.jpg

Here we are. But... it looks like we're trapped here! :o Something or someone is blocking our beamer device!

NUrEQ.jpg

We are under attack! Four soldiers are trying to kill us!

I must confess I died like five times trying to win this fight. Finally I got lucky so that only one of the soldiers attacked us at a time. And Grotley's Plasma gun surely came in handy.

LF4uf.jpg

When defeated, the soldies drop Plasma guns. We can't carry more than one, though. :/

A522M.jpg

The casualties are high. We've lost Mrowaksu and Korenzel, the two most frail members of our party.
RIP Mrowaksu. :salute: Your biochemist skills showed promise yet we never got around to using them.
RIP Korenzel. :salute: Too bad I didn't make you a powerful attack psionicist.

...

Just kiddin'. We can resurrect Mrowaksu and Korenzel at a healing device.

BkFCe.jpg

"I am dead!" :lol:
We've slain three of the four soldiers so far. We'll come across the last one a bit later. For now, it's time to have a little chat with this aged fellow who goes by the name of Hermes Rue:

2F2o1.jpg

7973.jpg
Hello, what is your name?

8281.jpg
Hi, my name is Hermes Rue.

:roll:

7973.jpg
You do not look too young.

8281.jpg
I am 68 years old and I have always been in this town.

Good to know.

7973.jpg
Any news?

8281.jpg
Did you know that you can find the best drinks on Aqua in Erwin's bar?

The best drinks? All that bastard could offer us were empty bottles!

7973.jpg
Any more news?

bEcLw.jpg

8281.jpg
I have heard that an alien ship has been seen beyond Inoid. Rather strange!

An alien ship! :o

8281.jpg
The ship is visible on every map but nobody realizes it.

Hmm, I have a feeling the aliens will soon be involved in this game's plot. Or will they?

dkTxO.jpg

At the healing device, we resurrect our fallen comrades.

0CBcb.jpg

And here's the last soldier. We deal with him -- and he drops not only a Plasma rifle, but also...

PTZtP.jpg

A damage piece of armor and a damaged weapon! Hmm, I wonder if they're plot-relevant. We grab them.

9eqjy.jpg

yCm0b.jpg

Hmm. :?

WZLqV.jpg

Not all soldiers attack us, though. Those four must have been Federation agents in disguise.

yV1Va.jpg

Ken Plummer owns the Necthe bar. And it looks like he's run out of drinks, too. :P

7973.jpg
Any news?

bzWEv.jpg

8282.jpg
Just about an hour ago some soldiers of the Federation Corps rushed in and tried to arrest a man sitting on the table behind you.

:o

8282.jpg
But he escaped.

Oh-kay. That must've been the pirate leader we were told to find. Let's inspect the table and see if he has left us a clue or something.

n4H7B.jpg

An ashtray?

gRAYe.jpg

Full with ash. But - what's that? A phone number!

hi3vg.jpg

Let's make the call.

kC4qN.jpg

This is indeed Sam van Varn's number.

XPM17.jpg

So we must arrange Sam's meeting with Jenns in the Lapis mine.

8e8jH.jpg

The vice-leader of the Pirate Association? Sounds grand!

Next time: shit happens.

:retarded:

The plot seems to be very back and forth, if that makes sense. You go to one planet, talk to someone, go to a new planet, talk to someone else, go back to the previous planet, talk to someone, go to a new planet, talk to someone else. So how many planets are left unexplored as of now? I can't imagine the game being that much longer.

MORE!

No idea about the game's length, really. There are two planets we haven't visited even once yet, and now the alien ship mentioned in this update seems to have appeared on the map, too.

I'm curious how much the game has to offer contentwise. It seemed to me while playing that there aren't really sidequests available. But I think the ship and trade part is in therefore as compensation.

The charsystem is very motivating and I consider it as some of the best if only the combat controls... :/

So far, no hint of genetic disease. Maybe it happens when you resurrect a character too often ?

Yeah, I've been wondering about that too. Perhaps the developers simply forgot to implement diseases? :P

9: Back to Lapis: Oops

Previously on this LP we defeated four Federation soldiers, grabbed the damaged weapon and armor, and phoned Sam van Varn, the vice-president of Pirate Association, who said he'd meet us in the Lapis mine.

8e8jH.jpg

So off to the Lapis mine we fly!
Along the way, on a planet called Sky Boulevard, we equip the Whale with a Top gun...

aIHBp.jpg

...a War Calculator, a device that, from what I've gathered, fights space battles automatically for you, which isn't such a good thing really as you're likely to take more damage when not in direct control...

Fik9E.jpg

...as well as a Fuel optimizer which lets us save a lot of fuel on our journeys between planets:

ESAID.jpg

Good.

UIKpV.jpg

And the Sky Boulevard trader looks funny. :P
Also, on Arboris we buy an additional Cargo bay...

43hwv.jpg

...and an Intercooler, whatever that is...

Zp9J7.jpg

And so we arrive to the Lapis mine 33/18.

e2E4G.jpg

It looks like ... Jenns Nippel is dead. :o

Ii50d.jpg

Killed by none other than Sam van Varn. :roll:

7973.jpg
What have you done? That man is Jenns Nippel. Our contact.

Ohh, this man is Jenns Nippel? I think I have killed the wrong person!

Y06A1.jpg

:lol:

I thought he was a spy of the secret service, shit!

7973.jpg
So what shall we do now?

eWuPy.jpg

Mr. Wostoc will arrive very soon.

Hush it up? How?

Mr. Wostoc should think that the secret service has killed Jenns.

Hmm, this looks like a good opportunity to use those damage weapon and armor we got on Nedax.

BY3Rz.jpg

So...

f6h6v.jpg

Totally dead. We drop the damaged stuff right near his body.

O1zB5.jpg

Mr. Wostoc appears!

tveEG.jpg

Grotley gains another level. We choose the Set trap ability for him.

Pctv6.jpg

In Kingcomrade's case, we opt for the Disarm opponent skill, requiring a whopping 36 mental points.

ahVJg.jpg

Set trap is also Mrowaksu's new ability.

I1uoh.jpg

Finally, we choose the powerful Create fireball ability for Korenzel, who is now a true battle psionician. :salute:

e9xdZ.jpg

And so we chat Mr. Wostoc up. Let's hope he falls for our little set-up.

7973.jpg
It looks like a battle had took place. Jenns is dead.

st8XI.jpg

:smug:

I think we know the most important man: it is General Noth!

4ENR2.jpg

Oh-kay, whatever. As if we ever wanted to be drawn into all this.

6xaoF.jpg

And so Mr. Wostoc and Sam van Varn beam up to Wostoc's spaceship.

Ehggi.jpg

Grotley is now level 6, a "beginner". He needs 21169 more exp points to become level 7 = "harmless". :?

099BF.jpg

It's the HQ. They congratulate us for bringing Wostoc and the pirate leader together.

GHnS5.jpg

Yay, another mission! Looks like that bastard Greg Morgan did manage to do some harm before we killed him.

8Q951.jpg

And our new quest is infiltrating the main computer room on Sky Boulevard and deleting all the incriminating data. Hmm, that doesn't sound too easy, really. :?

Stay tuned!

Skills are shit in this game so far. True story. Still, Set trap will, surprisingly enough, prove useful to us in the next update -- in one of this game's most unbelievably unintuitive and nonsensical puzzles.

10: Sky Boulevard

In which we go around fetching forms, infiltrate the computer room, lay a trap, and disable the power.

Previously on this LP we returned to Lapis, only to learn that Sam van Varn had accidentally shot Jenns Nippel. Luckily, we managed to frame a Federation agent with the murder, and the pirate vice-leader's meeting with Mr. Wostoc went pretty well.
Now our next assignment is erasing the sensitive data from Sky Boulevard's main computer:

8Q951.jpg

So off to Sky Boulevard we fly. As is this LP's tradition, here's the new trade table:

I'm glad to inform you we're filthy rich right now, having more than $12,000,000! Yay!

DaMOc.jpg

Sky Boulevard is a capitalist planet -- or rather, a giant capitalist space station:

SKY BOULEVARD
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This planet was formerly known as Decadence IV and was, like Castra, a flourishing centre of trade and the seat of government. The crime rate had always been extremely low as its politicians had set up an extensive policing system for their own protection. This enabled them to control trade and prevent a collapse of the system similar to that which had overtaken Castra.
In a very short time, Decadence IV had surpassed Castra in technical advance and trade, and accordingly became the leader in the market. With its rapid rise to prosperity, the population could afford themselves more luxuries. There was also a large influx of immigrants which increased the population several times over.
Only a few years after its great trading rise, Decadence IV had achieved a high level of luxury. This, however, went together with an increasing demand for energy. The planet's reserves became consumed at a dangerous rate and the politicians only came to their senses once it was too late. There was no way of saving the devastated planet, whose atmosphere was now poisoned to saturation.
A great flood of migrating refugees began, as almost everyone sought a new home on another planet. Those with power on Decadence IV, however, had no intention of giving up the planet on which they had so much influence. Without further ado, they decided to build a giant space station in orbit; and Sky Boulevard was born.
The project was completed with feverish haste, and the remaining population escaped from the planet at the last moment, before the biosphere collapsed.In their new life in space, however, they were confronted with a new problem: their energy reserves were in danger of running out. As there was little time left, a snap decision was taken and a nuclear fusion reaction was initiated on the surface of the planet beneath Sky Boulevard, to supply the station with light and energy. As a result of this drastic intervention in the natural order, all remaining life on the former Decadence IV was destroyed. From this time on, the surface was wreathed in clouds of thick smoke and soot. This brought temperatures down to freezing point and made the planet an inhospitable place. The new Sky Boulevard, on the other hand, was provided with ample energy, and the once prosperous centre of trade and government woke from its sleep and once again became the heart of the system.
8LN3Y.jpg
We arrive on Sky Boulevard and beam down. Here is a map for you:
Whale's Voyage -- Sky Boulevard map
8pDxs.jpg
Monkey statues abound around here for some reason
NNkPz.jpg
Oh wait it's not a monkey it's a mermaid! :P
MCPtx.jpg
Non-friendly soldiers are patrolling the Boulevard; luckily, they don't attack us -- yet.
b18Zp.jpg
Meet Mr. Stocker; no use in talking to him right now.
Ml1w6.jpg
And here's Ergerson.
7973.jpg
How are you?
Quiet well, thanks.
7973.jpg
What is your job at this station?
Nothing special, I am just a clerk.
7973.jpg
And what is your function?
Just accepting forms and so on.
Bureaucracy is indeed strong on Sky Boulevard, as we'll soon find out.
7973.jpg
Sorry, could you show us the way to the computer room.
Sure, I can help you -- I know the right way, but...
8B8Fz.jpg
:retarded:
Good thing Kingcomrade's carrying an Automatic gun. Hopefully it'll be just what Ergerson is demanding.
Thank you.
Oh, cool. Now onto business.
7973.jpg
Sorry, could you show us the way to the computer room.
3olVe.jpg
The rooms you are looking for are behind the room Mr. Wellsgolf is sitting in.
Alright, good to know.
yoyJA.jpg
Meet Reginald, the local shopkeeper.
7973.jpg
What are the latest news?
The Sky Boulevard is really a very, very boring market.
And that's all he has to say. Let's now see what he has in stock.
pzh9K.jpg
A Sonic Absorber is basically a silencer that we can use to not produce too much noise when moving around or killing someone. Not sure if it's going to be useful, but we buy one.
QFqW5.jpg
Electric Staff Mk3 looks like an ideal weapon for Kingcomrade, so we equip him with it.
ldHLs.jpg
We also buy an Aerosol Grenade for who knows what reason.
oonon.jpg
Powerful!
lrFkf.jpg
All? Let's check. We turn it on.
0qu3H.jpg
And the shopkeeper doesn't hear a word we say. Neat!
HHogU.jpg
We find some empty batters in one of the buildings. They are most likely useless, but we take one just in case.
TWigR.jpg
Empty!
QfSeb.jpg
And here's the Mr. Wellsgolf. And, as we know from Ergerson, there must be a passage to the computer rooms here.
7973.jpg
Hello.
Greetings are nice. But what is your problem?
:o
7973.jpg
We want to pass.
pG7Hh.jpg
The filled blue form? :roll:
This is the game's most hilarious quest so far, meant to demonstrate the evils of bureaucracy, I guess. Mr. Wellsgolf wants the filled blue form -- which we can only get by obtaining the yellow form which we can only get by obtaining the green form which we can only get by obtaining the red form. Yay! To make matters even worse, the people we need to get all those forms from are located in different parts of Sky Boulevard; see the map I posted above. Annoying yet funny.
IidUO.jpg
Spanjersberg says we can get the blue form from him but...
N88w0.jpg
7973.jpg
Can we get the yellow form here?
esEAt.jpg
:roll:
l4pcQ.jpg
Mr. Stocker can give us the yellow form but...
D0AJa.jpg
7973.jpg
Can we get the green form here?
1OlML.jpg
:roll:
a4lBz.jpg
Back at Spanjersberg's. He says he can give us the green form but...
mO9fB.jpg
7973.jpg
Can we get the red form here?
bIk3p.jpg
:roll:
VrnCI.jpg
Finally, Mr. Stocker gives us the red form. Phew.
KewTD.jpg
We give it to Spanjersberg who hands us the green form in return.
And in case you're wondering what those forms are exactly...
YV12V.jpg
Here's the green form.
m77j0.jpg
And here's the red form. :P
oYkCw.jpg
We give Mr. Stocker the green and he hands us the yellow.
jg31I.jpg
Gripping!
UeSsI.jpg
And then we the yellow form to Spanjersberg finally obtaining the blue form in return!
NSYmx.jpg
:retarded:
But anyways. Time to visit Mr. Wellsgolf again.
ZCjlU.jpg
We give him the blue form.
We want to pass.
Mk6Lu.jpg
:x
Well, truth be told we're too rich to care.
7973.jpg
Here are $10000.
Thank you.
lEFl4.jpg
And the door to the computer room is now open! :incline:
6MPnk.jpg
Too bad an officer is guarding the computer itself. :/
(Consult the map for the officer's location.)
7973.jpg
Hi.
Hello, merchants.
Merchants? Inside the restricted access computer room? :roll:
7973.jpg
How are you?
Quiet well, thanks.
7973.jpg
Sorry, could you show us the way to the computer room.
K6mWG.jpg
The bastard doesn't want to let us in. Well, we'll make him let us in! :o
nMp5L.jpg
First we try attacking him, but even with the Sonic Absorber on that doesn't go too well. Intimidating him is of no use either.
And here comes this game's most nonsensical puzzle. Why nonsensical? Because there seems to be only one correct way to solve it yet this way makes no sense. Okay, so here's an example of a really badly done puzzle sequence.
Dkrxl.jpg
On the crossroads near the officer, just out of his sight, we place a C4 Trap. (Yes, the Set Trap ability finally comes in handy.)
The whole party gains a level. We choose the Intimidate selected opponent skill for Grotley, Identify weapon for Kingcomrade, Search for traps for Mrowaksu, and Do brainblast on selected opponent for Korenzel:
hVTTy.jpg
:salute:
Zt3xQ.jpg
Grotley is now level 7 = "harmless". He needs 15327 more experience points to reach level 8 = "become cautious". And here are our party's current stats:
Grotley -> level 7
Experience: 85025
Strength: 63 -> 69
Max Health: 61 -> 68
Rhetoric: 49 -> 50
Honesty: 15 -> 16
General Education: 29 -> 31
Speed: 69 -> 78
Defense: 43 -> 54
IQ: 39 -> 44
Skillfulness: 67 -> 75
Kingcomrade -> level 6
Experience: 70021
Strength: 54 -> 64
Max Health: 60 -> 68
Max Mental Energy: 57 -> 67
Rhetoric: 40 -> 47
Honesty: 44 -> 49
General Education: 39 -> 45
Speed: 29 -> 36
Defense: 29 -> 39
IQ: 38 -> 42
Skillfulness: 46 -> 50
Mrowaksu -> level 6
Experience: 71028
Strength: 38 -> 45
Max Health: 55 -> 63
Rhetoric: 54 -> 64
Honesty: 38 -> 47
General Education: 60 -> 68
Speed: 26 -> 29
Defense: 32 -> 42
IQ: 65 -> 73
Skillfulness: 43 -> 48
Korenzel -> level 6
Experience: 68917
Strength: 19 -> 21
Max Health: 32 -> 38
Max Mental Energy: 73 -> 82
Rhetoric: 50 -> 60
Honesty: 53 -> 61
General Education: 52 -> 59
Speed: 26 -> 29
Defense: 18 -> 24
IQ: 60 -> 69
Skillfulness: 34 -> 41
It still escapes me why characters gain in Honesty as they level up, but whatever. Back to the puzzle.
1rjlQ.jpg
The most stupid thing about it is that now that we've set the trap... the door to the power room in the northern part of Sky Boulevard, which was previously closed, has suddenly opened! For no reason whatsoever.
:retarded:
rYzOe.jpg
Mrowaksu uses the Manipulate computer skill on the Fuse box...
ZIBTP.jpg
...and the power is off! :o Scary.
Rf5qe.jpg
Kingcomrade, Mrowaksu and Korenzel level up again!
We choose the Automatic reload skill for Kingcomrade, Identify weapon for Mrowaksu, and Disarm opponent for Korenzel:
K0eOz.jpg
Our whole party is level 7 now. :salute: I forgot to take screens of our new stats, so I'll post them later.
3oaJc.jpg
Luckily for us, we're carrying an Infrared device. We turn it on!
Qx1kZ.jpg
And here's all that's left of the poor officer guarding the computer. :twisted:
2Xy3A.jpg
:smug:
32ioo.jpg
And we successfully delete the data using Mrowaksu's Manipulate computer skill! Mission accomplished.
:yeah:
SwpaN.jpg
We beam up to the Whale and call the number we were given earlier.
YmNik.jpg
We tell 'em the data is no more.
2HJGh.jpg
:o Oops, looks like someone has just been ... killed?
I guess we'll need to visit Inoid to see what the matter is.
That mission would have been far better if you had to get the red form from Mr. Wellsgolf, creating a pointlessly bureaucratic cycle.
Nice attention to detail there.
:lol: Another game, Magical Starsign did that joke: you had to travel around an entire building filled with bureocrats and talk to each one in a certain order to fill some forms, just to get toilet paper and give it to a guy that needed it urgenly. It was kinda lulzy.
It looks like you're running out of skills to choose during level-ups, maybe the end is drawing near ?
Here's the trade analysis with Sky Boulevard. Not much to add, selling Iron from Inoid to Nedax is still the best option by far.
How did you figure out that you have to set the trap for the door to open?
What would have been if you didnt pick "set trape" in the last update?
Are you following a walkthrough?
Did you do that excel sheet yourself?
What do you do in your free time except LP's for the Codex?
I didn't know setting the trap would open that goddamn door, that was a most rage-inducing moment to me. Trial and error FTW. One good bad thing about this game is that it's so totally linear that you don't seem to be able to do anything in a manner not planned by the developers. There are no alternative solutions, no possibility of (meaningfully) visiting the quest-related places in an alternative order, nothing, nil, nihil. That's why, as soon as you do something that grants you experience -- and setting that trap leveled our party up immediately -- you can safely say you did the right thing. At first I wanted to lure the guard into the trap by talking to him, intimidating him, simply waiting for him to start patrolling around, but all to no avail. Then I discovered the newly-opened door to the north, and the puzzle was solved.
Orgasm-kun said:
No idea, really. Would've gotten stuck most probably. Still, there aren't many abilities to choose among overall, so the probability of not having at least one party member who knows how to set a trap by that moment is extremely low, in anyone's playthrough.
That it's absolutely linaer was my impression, too. Especially noticeable since there are no sidequests in the game. But you are already farther into it than I was.
I wonder if the sequel is as linear as the first one...
We'll get to know that one day, I hope. :P
11: Louis 17: Vibrators and Red Sardines
Previously on this LP we deleted the incriminating data from the Sky Boulevard computer. And now it looks like we must head to Inoid:
2HJGh.jpg
I guess we should investigate that asap.
p2t2k.jpg
On our way to Inoid we receive an S.O.S. signal.
AKM3w.jpg
Easy peasy.
OpqQh.jpg
gJYCc.jpg
We face two kinds of enemy spaceships, but they aren't really tough.
wGJD7.jpg
We win the battle, and Max Schimmel thanks us, saying he can be found on Louis 17, the secret pirate base. Neat.
W2ETy.jpg
But first we arrive on Inoid. Grotley is level 8 now = "cautious". He needs 9492 more experience points to "become watchful" = reach level 9.
Meet Ben Zock, a nigger nice black person we missed for some reason when we last visited Inoid.
7973.jpg
Hello, what is your name?
Hi. I am Ben Zock!
7973.jpg
How are you?
Quiet well, thanks.
7973.jpg
May we ask you a question?
DwXXn.jpg
:roll:
Whatever.
VorRa.jpg
We find the HQ, but our contact has been kidnapped.
Happy with that, Grotley levels up again.
toPVe.jpg
Grotley's level 9 now = "watchful", needing 24004 exp to reach level 10 = "become self-assured". :P
And here are his new stats:
Grotley -> level 9
Experience: 141884
Strength: 76 -> 82
Max Health: 75 -> 82
Rhetoric: 52 -> 53
Honesty: 17 -> 18
I guess it's time to visit the pirate space base, Louis 17.
fsVOj.jpg
It's situated on a small, nearly invisible asteroid.
WZS2V.jpg
On our way there we get attacked.
YJDeG.jpg
A random space encounter against 3 buccaneer ships.
418Gp.jpg
Q4S7P.jpg
One of the ships is pretty strong, we need 4 hits to bring it down.
1AfID.jpg
And here we are on Louis 17.
CSoBd.jpg
On this planet, we can equip the Whale with Cloaking Device 1...
Mh6UM.jpg
...Cloaking Device 2...
cGJpE.jpg
...Holograph 1...
n1SbK.jpg
...Holograph 2...
qoldz.jpg
...as well as -- an Instant Bomb? :?
ihfVk.jpg
And the Louis 17 trader looks funny.
grRf9.jpg
We beam down to Shame, one of Louis 17's towns.
ESvOa.jpg
It looks quite run-down.
dVYyI.jpg
Pieces of ... hardware (?) everywhere.
1V1xc.jpg
Boarded up holes.
S8mFK.jpg
And nothing says "pirates' lair" like this kind of poster, amirite?
RVGCD.jpg
John Freeze is the local shopkeeper.
b2BJo.jpg
He doesn't have anything useful to say, but he sells quite a few nifty things.
dSete.jpg
We buy a Roomscanner Pro.
Zp4lY.jpg
A Plasmathrower for Grotley.
:incline:
tTbGB.jpg
A Bomb for Mrowaksu + some ammo.
LzPvJ.jpg
The Room Scanner Pro includes a life detector.
xHEy6.jpg
And the Plasma Thrower is the revenge of Smith & Wesson & Sony against Kruger & Bell. :o
WX8Bj.jpg
Franklin is the barkeeper.
7973.jpg
Give me something to drink.
Pinfq.jpg
:roll:
7973.jpg
I am new in that town.
You will not meet a lot of people here.
7973.jpg
Any news?
The business is running rather poor now because...
Ckd2i.jpg
:salute:
1qJwg.jpg
And here's Max Schimmel, the guy whose ass we saved in the beginning of this update
7973.jpg
Hello Max, could you return without problems?
VGc6F.jpg
7973.jpg
What do you know about the kidnapping of our contact?
Sorry, but I know nothing about the kidnapped person.
7973.jpg
Who can help us?
e4wV4.jpg
You can find him in Wocony.
VYL2F.jpg
He is easy to find because he has got red hair and is wearing sunglasses.
7973.jpg
Could you give us coordinates of Wocony, please?
snTDD.jpg
Cool, nice to know. Off to Wocony we should fly now, I assume.
oAeYk.jpg
Predictably, we locate Wocony at 10/11.
ObJtg.jpg
And beam down we do.
aVgat.jpg
Meet Danielle, one helluva woman.
7973.jpg
Hi! Pretty woman!
6gMg8.jpg
:roll:
7973.jpg
May we invite you for a drink?
WsbZ1.jpg
7973.jpg
Can we help you?
mzbj1.jpg
:lol: :lol:
You are travelling through the whole galaxy and it would be nice if you can get one for me.
I'm sure our all-male party will be glad to help you with your vibrator problem, sis! :salute:
Morkar said:
And here's Arg Pock, the local barkeep.
No.
:rage:
7973.jpg
Any news?
No.
Screw you.
N4sdV.jpg
Hmm, red hair, sunglasses. This must be Erasmus! Let's chat him up.
p8RDu.jpg
Oops.
3ux7F.jpg
He doesn't want to talk to us. :/
So we return to Max Schimmel to ask him what's up with Erasmus.
