Jonric: Among the characters that can join your party, are there any you'd rate as your personal favorites, and why do you like them?

My personal style of play is just plain greedy. I try to not have too many NPC followers if possible; although some can make powerful allies, others cannot be trusted, and they all take a share of the loot and experience. I opt to rely on animated dead, summoned creatures, and animal companions for that little bit of extra help when I need it.
I dig this man's style. The dead don't ask for their cut.
