Why did you choose the WWII scenery?
This is equally easy and difficult question. The shallow answer could be "because we already had art assets for this period". The real story is much more complicated than this. First of all you must know that we are obsessed with the idea of an RPG for John Doe - a fully fledged role playing for people who are definitely NOT fantasy nor SF maniacs. For this purpose we had to find out a universal universe - a place and time easily recognized by our audience, conflict with easily identifiable evil and good opponents. No time serves better than WWII - this conflict is close enough to be known by everyone (in our cultural sphere) and distant enough not to be taken bloody seriously only.
Scenery?
