Dungeon Siege, on the other hand, is much more of an experience for gamers to enjoy. Although, being 3D, it's not quite as intense and finger-wreckingly frantic as Diablo, at its heart it’s still just a hack and slash RPG, but infinitely more memorable. You come away from it with stories of epic, glorious battles to recount to your friends, whilst anyone playing Blizzards monster just bemoan their mice for not surviving an all-night hack-a-thon. Dungeon Siege had a good story, great team work and gorgeous graphics, but it just lacked a little something to make it a classic title. Even though it was developed by Gas Powered Games (led by Total Annihilation creator Chris Taylor), it was largely forgotten about until the unveiling of both Dungeon Siege 2 and Legends of Aranna. While the sequel is a fair way off at the moment, Legends of Aranna was always meant as a stop-gap before the sequel knocks our socks, shoes and trousers off.
Good point. It's very hard to wear out your mouse and keyboard when YOU DON'T ACTUALLY HAVE TO DO ANYTHING!
