Ah, Dungeon Siege. When this sleeper hit was released in 2002, I was instantly hooked. Gas Powered Games - in their very first release - managed to devise an devilishly addicting PC adventure by utilizing the simplistic game play and the desires of gamers to constantly obtain bigger and better items that made Diablo II such a success, and combining it with a richly detailed and vast world to explore. I had a level 150 character, skilled in all four skill groups - melee, ranged, combat magic and nature magic - I had the twelve strongest Dragon Wing swords in the game, all non-hacked, of course. I've made the run from Crystwind to Quillrabe a million times, and I've gone on countless Grescal ruins runs, chicken room runs, and I can find the ancient pyramids in the Endless Dunes with my eyes closed.
Having done everything humanly possible with Dungeon Siege, and with Dungeon Siege II still so far away, how's a gamer supposed to fill the void?
Filling the void? Might I suggest 3DScreenSaver.com?
