The action aspect of the game does not fare much better. Blade & Sword is primarily a click-fest – put the cursor over an enemy, click away, move to the next, and repeat. Sure, lots of games are click-fests, but Blade & Sword feels excessively so. One of the problems is that the hit points on the enemies seem to be set too high. The basic enemies take a lot of clicks to dispatch, and the boss creatures require an extraordinary amount of clicking. Boss battles take several minutes to complete – it may not sound like much time but when a single task in a game takes five to ten minutes it feels like an eternity. Battles are prolonged even further by the fact that enemies are knocked off of their feet during battles and you can not strike them when they are down. You’ll have to pause several times during fights with each and every creature in the game as you wait for them to regain their footing. Some credit should go to the developers for adding a block key to allow you to deflect blows during fights, but at times you’ll be so impatient at the slow pace of each kill that you’ll forego blocking simply to speed things up.I still don't get it. So far, this game has been criticized in different reviews for outdated graphics, clickfest gameplay, monotony, single save slot, and now for long boss battles. All of these are Diablo's trademark, so what's all the fuss is about?
