Naiads, like other pets, are otherworldly creatures that mages have summoned to our own through magical rifts. They are spirits of life and growth, and their incredible healing powers are in high demand among adventuring parties. Dark Naiads are the most common variety, as they have a somewhat disturbing sadistic streak that draws them to the excitement of adventuring. Light Naiads are rumored to exist, but if they do, they are shy and reclusive, and will not assist any adventurers except the most worthy.​
