Tags: Star Wolves; Xbow SoftwareThe first non-Russian Star Wolves review has come online, <a href=http://www.clubskill.com/?view=article&article=533>written by someone with an extremely diminished capacity for intelligence[/url], giving the game an undeserved low score of 4.6/10.
Another annoying aspect is the 3D element. “What the hell are you on about?†we hear you shout. Well, the fact that the game is 3D causes a lot of mapping problems. The point and click element to it becomes hugely frustrating when you're trying to get your fighter to attack an object, but the game recognises your click as a moving command…but half way across the galaxy! If you're caught up in a battle and your trying to quickly command your fighters to do different things, it becomes somewhat annoying when you find one of your ships has flown half way across space because the game recognised your click as a ‘move to the other side of space’ command.Control problems? All you have to do is to highlight the enemy, causing a big red box to appear on the unit you're highlighting, and right click it accordingly. Alternatively, you can right click the enemy unit tab (displayed in red) on the top-right of the screen. If you're trying to navigate your ships on a longer range, just use the map. That's what it's for.
It's always amusing when reviewers allow their own high degree of personal ineptitude to cloud their criticism of the game, displacing blame.
When you're floating in around space, you’ll have a calm operatic blend of flutes playing behind you – but as soon as you hit a battle, the music will change to an exciting fast paced tune - its just a shame that the game moves so slowly.Bullshit.
Controls 4/10
It's a point and click system. How asinine do you have to be to find it confusing? This is in contrast with their Freedom Force, which garners a 10/10 in Controls, despite the fact that the control interface is utterly and exactly the same. Now, for one last nugget of gold:
Lastability 1/10
Lastability isn't a word, cretin. It's longevity.
