Tags: Gothic 3: Forsaken Gods1UP's Eric Neigher saddled Gothic 3: Forgotten Gods with a D- review score, while earning the coveted "I'm Trying Too Hard" award for himself at the same time.
For those unfamiliar with Gothic 3 -- for which Forsaken Gods is a standalone expansion, -- it's a third-person RPG with a look and feel similar to Ultima IX. Yeah, Ultima IX. I intentionally chose a game from nearly 10 years ago because that's just how outdated Gothic 3's engine feels. By and large, what you're getting here is a very been-done, over-the-shoulder fantasy-RPG. If you liked the original Gothic 3, you'll probably dig this expansion. But let's be honest: Nobody intelligent enough to read this far into my review would have enjoyed Gothic 3. I'm just keeping it real, people.Congratulations to Eric, JoWood, and moronic Gothic 3 fans everywhere.
