So as I expected, just another game getting stellar reviews based on how promising it looks, except it stays the same for the whole time and those fun 3h at start get grindy and boring once repeated 10 times over... Yup, Crying Suns all over again.

I wouldn't even really call it grindy. The grind loop isn't really that high. It's just...kinda...flat. Imagine Star Control 2, but you only ever have the flagship, and there are only 3 other characters that have actual names, only two of which you regularly speak to, and one is basically just your cheerleader and the other is probably not a likeable person.
