  1. Spore website launched

And wasn't Wright actually PLAYING a Spore demo at the GDC?
  2. Quick question about Oblivion-"screenshot"/artwork

EDIT: Wait, my bad. I hadn't seen that shot yet. I dunno. Does it really matter?
  3. E3 and some RPG thingy

I don't understand how someone can't be excited about Spore.
  4. Interview Mount & Blade interview at eToychest

One-on-one combat isn't the focus, really, the large-scale battles between opposign armies (..eight or ten a side at a time) is. It's a little like Elite with horses.
  5. Interview Mount & Blade interview at eToychest

I think it's still worth the download. It's only 30-something MB, and a fully-functional demo. Worst that can happen is you don't like it.
  6. Interview Mount & Blade interview at eToychest

You couldn't be more wrong. There is really no RTS element to it (yet), it's more like a 3rd-person action/rpg, set in a kind of alternate reality. There's no magic. Go ahead and download the demo.
  7. Proof that the people who read IGN are insane.

That's true, but Herzog Zwei (came out in 1990, I believe) kidn of epitomizes what RTS games were to become in the years after.
  8. Proof that the people who read IGN are insane.

...But the first real RTS was on a console, the Genesis with Herzog Zwei. And there are ports of old-school RTS games like Command and Conquer and the like to the consoles as well. Granted, they're terrible ports...but I like to nitpick.
