KickStarter Phoenix Point - the new game from X-COM creator Julian Gollop

some people in this thread are either delusional or just don't care about XCom in general. if you need to scratch that XCom itch, PP is absolutely worth playing. it's not a bad game, it's just not much better than XCom Apocalypse, when it should be. this should have been the true XCom 4 -- the...

KickStarter Phoenix Point - the new game from X-COM creator Julian Gollop

I'm inclined to agree, it does play like UFO a lot, with some Apocalypse sprinkled on top. but the new graphics... the visual style is absolutely terrible. human factions have such a bland design, I can't get over it. the aliens are pretty cool, though, I'm glad it's not the Roswell owl-babies...

KickStarter Phoenix Point - the new game from X-COM creator Julian Gollop

oh man, I still remember the days when FT was considered an abomination and one of the worst tactics games on PC. lo and behold, over time it's held in high regard even among the 'dexers

The Outer Worlds Pre-Release Thread [GO TO NEW THREAD]

it isn't capitalism that's killing millions of people every year, it's just a few "bad apples", right? all you "history buffs" should just keep your mouths shut, it's not even funny anymore watching you embarrass yourselves time after time.

Baldur's Gate Baldur's Gate 3 Pre-Release Thread [EARLY ACCESS RELEASED, GO TO NEW THREAD]

I agreed with Volo twice in one day... this must be a sign of what's to come, at this point I'm 100% certain Sven is making a Dark Alliance "spiritual successor"

Baldur's Gate Baldur's Gate 3 Pre-Release Thread [EARLY ACCESS RELEASED, GO TO NEW THREAD]

so the balding dude said "to see the whole Baldur's Gate is amazing" or something to that extent. if he meant the entire city on the screen in-game, could that mean open world/sandbox?

ANTHEM - failed Destiny clone from BioWare

Implying that Warframe is a good game is the next level of ignorance.

    The Division by Ubisoft

as someone who believes DayZ was the best thing that happened to gaming in years, and that all modern fads like PUBG and shit only exist thanks to it, I have to say, Survival is the best thing since the original Arma 2 mod, that actually tries to push the original idea forward. I don't...

ANTHEM - failed Destiny clone from BioWare

I played the demo, it was OK, for a demo. as far as I can tell the full game is just like that demo, only 4 times as long, meaning, you need 20 hours to cover everything it has to offer.

ANTHEM - failed Destiny clone from BioWare

and that's why Warframe has been in the top 10 most played Steam games forever now, eh?

ANTHEM - failed Destiny clone from BioWare

played the demo. and yes, it's Destiny with flying. not a bad thing per se, I kind of enjoyed playing through Destiny with a friend. but when Warframe is constantly in the top 10 most played games on Steam, why they'd pick to clone Destiny is beyond me. the demo has very limited content, but...
