    What I don't quite understand is that DA( and NVN2) seem to heat up my 8800GT more than any other game I've ran .....even though the graphics seem subpar to most of the other games I've ran. It runs fine, it just runs HOT!

    This is my assessment as well. After all the Community patches were applied I had no problems with the combat or other things folks gripe about. G3 was EPIC...and the world was gorgeous. Just watching the natural ecosystem gave a feeling of reality. Going on a deerhunt was a thing of beauty!

    no bias. Let them put out a demo so I can see how it runs and I'll give it an honest go. The official DA:O website didn't do much to sway me, that's for sure.

    Not sure why folks say Isometric is old school...... Old school says one of 3 things to me.... First Person view ala Wizardry or Might and Magic. Top down view ala Ultima. Ascii graphics ala Nethack and other roguelikes. Isometric old school? Not.
