  1. Improving Skyrim / Recommended Mods thread (Mostly about Requiem)

Well I have only gotten to just past the battle of whiterun as a stormcloak. So far no bugs that I could see at least. I haven't had to console past events like in 1.1
  2. Improving Skyrim / Recommended Mods thread (Mostly about Requiem)

You guys should check out: Civil War Overhaul 2.0 http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/37216//? The numerous bugs from 1.1 have been mostly squished. Its very good stuff :)
  3. Baldur's Gate Beamdog's Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 Enhanced Editions

I have had no issues running the game. What I like so far? The new UI and the new quest-log. I am liking the new companions as well. If you get all three and do their quests I read its about 12 hours of new content. The new spell animations are also pretty good. I would have liked them to add...
  4. Game News Obsidian Reveals 'Project Eternity' - Kickstarter Live

In for $20.00 Over 17,000 backers in less than 24 hours. Two people donated $10,000 each! Wow can you imagine having that much extra cash to throw around. I think by this time tomorrow it will hit 100%
  5. Mysteries of Westgate - no longer available for sale from Atari, but still downloadable

I think I will try this tonight. Is it better than the OC?
  6. Review RPG Codex reviews Risen 2: Dark Waters

You are right. Imo combat sucked in Gothic 3 and I didn't play 4. I didn't like combat in G1 either. I did really like it in Gothic 2 and Risen also. This one ahead of Gothic 3 unpatched but behind G2 and Risen. I did like Gothic 3 combat playing as a mage though.
  7. Review RPG Codex reviews Risen 2: Dark Waters

Whoever reviewed it- It doesn't matter. The game is not something great, I would say its a little above average but this review makes it out to seem far worse and barely playable. I disagree.
  8. Review RPG Codex reviews Risen 2: Dark Waters

I think another reason for VoD's poor review is that he played this game before the patch came out. That patch added dodge and monster block, among other fixes, and that makes combat a lot better. If I had played without those for any amount of time that would color any future review for me. The...
  9. Review RPG Codex reviews Risen 2: Dark Waters

I don't agree with the review. The game has faults, and combat is probably the main one. This has been true for all of PB games though. The story and theme I think makes for a pretty good game. I usually agree with his reviews but not this time. I have been enjoying the game overall.
  10. Skyrim - Bethesda, you should be very, very proud.

I think the more likely hater here is the person who hates on it over and over without having played it and so just repeats what they read others posting. This person thinks that since the Codex hates on everything they must also be good little sheep. These posts are pretty obvious though to me...

  12. Improving Skyrim / Recommended Mods thread (Mostly about Requiem)

Better Sorting by Headbomb This mod basically takes several items, and renames them so they sort better. Instead of something like *Falmer Arrow (190) *Iron Arrow (25) *Potion of Extreme Healing *Potion of Extreme Magicka *Potion of Healing *Potion of Magicka *Potion of Minor...

SKYRIM ENHANCED SHADERS http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=822 Pretty good mod from the guy that did the Enhanced Shaders for New Vegas. Its basically an enhancement based around ENBSERIES Skyrim patch. Looks very good and for me at least only a 1-2 fps hit w/ a GTX580...
  14. I'm actually loving Skyrim.

The game is very good except for a few annoyances. The UI needs work for the PC and I guess as soon as the CK comes out that will be fixed. Companions need work too from their behavior to pathing and the fact that I can't view their stats without the console. Again the CK should take...
