Police officers, standing in line, with their helmets and shield, fighting against a mob, like a Roman legionary holding the tide of barbarians and defending the borders of civilization.

...

Meh, iOS/android casual game.

Well in essence it is like this.

A riot simulator? Will it include scenes in which the cops attack innocent children and old men/women that were peacefully protesting and/or intentionally setting undercover, agressive agents to have an excuse to charge the harmless mob of civilians defend themselves from EVIL hordes of brutal, mindless terrorists bent on destroying the government?

Looks like shit. No anarchist mobs armed with lead pipes and molotov cocktails in a plethora of beer and ouzo bottles, no reactionaries charging said mobs and the riot squads aren't on fire.

Indies show their hatred for mainstream by copying it to the T bro.

If they were making good games instead who would've concentrated on another hipster in empty-frame glasses talking bullshit on camera about how special he is?

People would've just played their games - and that's, my bro, is mainstream.

The Braids, Minecrafts and Riots of gaming are like the Cradles of Filth of music, which already had a poser scene way before. There are some striking similarities between hipster "games" and what passes as supposedly "indie" music or the blatant pop trying too hard to pretend being another less bland genre similarly to those popamole crapshooters labelled CRPGs.

So apparently Riot had finally entered Steam Early Access about two days ago. Whether it will actually be a good game is yet to be seen. A proper Antifa bashing simulator would be nice, though.
