Nah. As long as RoboCop remains absent from the poll then RPGOTY 2023 is fraudulent and meaningless. Sorry but you can't have a legitimate contest without one of the best games of the year. I'm starting to wonder if this wasn't a deliberate attempt at ensuring a BG3/Starfield victory. I know quite a few people here who would have voted favorably for RoboCop.

Noice. I got all the achievements after it's first couple weeks of release. Wasn't exactly difficult but I don't usually bother with that stuff even if it's easy. Game is just fucking fire from top to bottom. Really made you feel like you were Alex Murphy/RoboCop. It's a great feeling as opposed to say getting your poop canal sexually violated by a bear and various other penises. RoboCop is a pleasant ARPG experience that lets you brutally kill rapists and various other criminal scumbags. Ya know, the types that appear in games like BG3.

^Not sure if these are attacks on RoboCop? The game has more C&C than any Bethesda game released in the last decade, and similarly simple character building (more forgivable in RoboCop's case since you're, well, RoboCop). Why are Beth's games always up for the award while Rogue City is a pariah? It's weird. Seems like a brand thing.

The nu Boob Raider games have no C&C so I don't know what you're trying to get at. There is no way to alter the story, there is no way to alter relationships with other characters, etc. The nu Boob Raiders are action games so you bringing them up is both confusing and retarded.

I have played Mage of Olekta desert and while not perfect it encapsulates a lot of what makes an RPG and RPG, titles with pornographic content, apart from BG3 of course, is automatically dismissed though on this platform.

Even though developers like CDProject Red and Larian have stated that by including adult content you can have an adult story, which is true, they opt to decide to cater to a tiny minorities fantasy of what that means, creating storylines in this adult frame that more resembles Sunday morning cartoons. And people gobble that shit up.

Meanwhile, there are developers out there that use their adult oriented games to tell a good story instead, those then get ignored.

Think it's more of 'does anyone name-drops and that post's visibility', like how the imperial juice is well known here.
If it's posted in the JRPG subforum, then only the usual JRPG visitors will see it.

Well at least there's now 6 curated ENG ero doujins for Kodexers and lurkers to start with.
(Feel free to critique any interested titles that aren't at least 3/4s, after playing each for at least 3 hours.)


My cup of tea is mostly different from the coffee [the other post with recommended adult titles], akin to how JRPGs is different to WRPGs.
Please do not erroneously put them into the same pot for praise/bashing, unless you have an axe to grind with adult games as a whole.

Iirc someone did this once, the results were basically the same.

We did this in 2017 for the "Age of Incline" poll and it turned out that The Witcher 3 was even more popular among the older posters lol
