JC from Deus Ex. Cold, stoic, augmented, soy resistant badass. Not even being in close proximity of a bomb or watching a father getting murdered in front of a daughter could phaze this stone cold motherfucker.
JC, besides being the bro of Paul, is also kinda his opposite. Paul appears to be more compassionate, emotional and sympathetic to the NSF (perhaps not only because he works for them).
"This isn't a training exercise, JC. Your targets will be human beings, keep that in mind" - When you ask him for the Sniper Rifle.
And of course:
"Remember that we're police. Stick with the prod."
JC appears to be more cold, professional-like and a lone wolf type.

"I like to pick 'em off from a distance. I'll take the rifle." - JC

"GEP gun is the best for non lethal approach" - also probably JC

It's a role playing game, so JC can be anything. Which is why his voice is kind of unemotional and ambigious.
That and Warren Spector instructing Jay Anthony Franke to make JC sound unemotional and detached.

Only now, after looking through that manual, do I know that there is a downward attack. Jump + attack + down. Could have been using it off and on for years.

Agrippa from Shadow of Rome. Roman Centurion Chad turned Gladiator, all to save his father and avenge his mother.

And also, no particular order:

The Barbarian from Diablo 2
Max Payne
Nameless from Gothic
Ryu Hayabusa
Sly Cooper
Snake (MGS) also Old Snake
Kazuma Kiryu (first guy that came to mind so maybe he's #1)
Dante from the Devil May Cry series
John Marston from Red Dead Redemption 1

Honorable Mentions: Doomguy, Master Chief

My picks would be
Master Chief
Max Payne (from Max Payne 3)
Sam Fisher (pre Blacklist)
MGS2 Solid Snake
RE4 Leon S Kennedy (from the original RE4)
Adam Jensen (character would have looked better if he lost the beard though)
