It is said that riches beyond imagination lay at the bottom of the dungeon of Faveg.
Driven by greed, adventurers flock there to meet their ends.
Will you be better than them?

Brave the hordes of monsters below as you train your party in this Roguelike take on class based progression.

30+_classes_size2.png

Every level up a decision, try to build competent fighters with semi-random class choices every level.
Certain class combinations will open up new growth paths for a character to take, try to find them all!
Will you build a wild berserker, a powerful wizard, a devout priest, or something in between?

Choose between hundreds of active and passive skills to grant your party an edge in battle!
Only 12 can be active at a time though, so think twice before swapping.
Will you carry powerful attacks, tide-turning buffs, or passives to improve your other skills?

7 floors full of danger await you, each one more hostile than the last.
Every fight will pose a different challenge, can you overcome every single one, or will your strategy crumble?

Decided to bite the bullet and made it to the third floor boss.

First of all it's a pure combatfag game. The only dungeon exploring you do here is hitting the MOVE button that triggers the next encounter and hitting the DESCENT button that triggers the boss fight.

Each time you level-up you get a choice from three classes to advance your level in. Can't be more than three classes at the same time and each class can only be lvl 3 max, a certain class combinations(not all of them) let you advance into a special hybrid class who is also lvl 3 max.

My class choices proved to be terrible.
Hide ability seems to be a waste of time (enemies targeted my rogue often anyway), Priest was constantly running out of mana so i didn't have the luxury to try spells from other classes she picked up, the only decent character proved to be the Berserk/Knight hybrid who unlocked a special class(my other characters didn't qualify).
Each character can have max 12 abilities, both passive and active. Edit:You can't opt out of adding abilities from the new class you don't want which is annoying.
Not impressed by class abilities so far.

The main challenge of this game is attrition. You can't replenish your mana until you beat the floor boss and there can be a fair number of encounters until the game lets you press DESCENT.

Not sure what to think about this game. For some reason i expected more interesting classes.
Fine for it's price, i guess?

Another small annoyance - you can't check the info menu that shows you the avaliable class combos you have found outside of main menu.
Leaving in the middle of the game ends the run.

Turns out this is a lie and i am a fool!

Combat improves once you overcome the hurdle of early floors and finally have enough mana to actually cast something.
Went further but my poor class, build and life choices caught with me again.

I really shouldn't have taken that [greatly increase INT and FTH at the cost of halving your HP] perk on my primary healer. :negative:

Still had hope that i can power through with my two remaining sorcerers but the floor boss proved to be a tricky one without a healer.

This particular boss gimmick is that he dodges all your attacks and hits hard so you should be on the defensive until he gets bored and falls assleep - at this moment you can finally attack.

Seems like going spellcaster heavy and making sure your party has a healer or two is a way to go.

Sounds like an entertaining game, if it was balanced.

:balance:

what all this stats are for? any drop stats?

Graphic is surprisingly good.

He casted sleep on my Bard/Priest(the only guy with debuff removal) which ended up spelling the doom for me. I was so close :argh:
In retrospective i probably should have opened with bard Rousing Hymn immediately but i was too worried about running out of mana in case fight gets prolonged.

Going for advanced hybrid warrior/mage classes appears to be a rather terrible choice early on as they suck at both physical and magical damage while their skills that scale of both INT/STR are way too expensive.
Knight taunt is as unreliable as rogue's hide.
Bersek abilities cost both HP and Mana and are way too overcosted in this resource economy.
Aeromancer, Pyromancer and Cryomancer do the best damage but you need to watch out for certain enemies who become empowered if you hit them with the wrong element.
No idea if you can win this without a healer so Priest feels mandatory. Scholar debuff removal spells are way too expensive and situational but still feel kinda important to have.
Arcanist is great addition no matter what thanks to their access to healing spells and MP boost perk.

Two damage spellcasters + healer still remains my most winning party composition so far.

Advanced classes you can unlock by combining two of the max lvl base classes have a bit more interesting abilities.

Like Sorcerer(Arcanist+Pyromancer/Aeromancer/Cryomancer) can use quickcast which deals a bit of unaspected damage and immediately grants you another turn which can be spent on casting quickcast again. Damage is very mana inefficient but the idea of casting the same spell over and over again while not letting your enemy act at all is funny.
You also have Shaman(any two of Pyromancer/Aeromancer/Cryomancer) with a perk that boosts your damage each time you hit enemy with different element. You're encouraged to constantly switch between fire, ice and air attacks every single turn.
Spellblade(Arcanist+Duelist) is way better than Warrior+Pyromancer/Aeromancer/Cryomancer. At the start of the turn Spellblade gets a strong but shortlived buff to both STR and INT that lets you oneshot enemies at the depth 3-4.
Savant(Arcanist+Priest) is amazing at both damage and healing, that perk that halves you HP in exchange for more INT and FTH is pretty risky tho. Sage class(Priest+Scholar) is the only class that knows resurrection.
Found Dark Mage to be a pretty useful addition to any of your damage casters as a secondary class. Normally it's a pretty terrible class early on(Lvl 1 Dark Mage will only have enough mana for one cast) but those crazy stat growths are very noticable in the later stages.

Still can't beat vampire boss tho and i reached that point where i keep doing the same thing over and over again because trying to experiment with a different approach punishes me.
By the way, devs just added achievements in case someone is interested.
