Paranoia about who is the werewolf, people being afraid of others being the wolf and thus being scared of stalkers, people joking about who is the werewolf, the Wolf having to divide himself between Werewolfing and building up his stuff, having to evade stalkers, paying attention to day night cycle...

The problem was people eventually learning all the map's sweet spots, and the fact that the fun hinged on having a player be a good enough werewolf so that he could build up his strength until he was outed as the Werewolf.
