I do not enjoy the singing, I don't get a any strong impression of what it is trying to express. And if it is supposed to be washed out in the drone then I don't think it does anything to heighten or give depth to the soundwave.

Very different, but I love in https://youtu.be/RUrNOqivfns how her voice is drowned out by the noisy sound-storm. Its like her voice is riding the soundwave, but is almost getting lost in it.
