It's not just weeabooism though, I think the name Blues fits the character well, especially in the Megaman.EXE version. I'll give you that Megaman sounds better than Rockman, though.

But he's red. Also, yeah, megaman is a lot better than rockman. IIRC he doesn't even shoot rocks so it doesn't even make sense thematically.
