Team XBox, whom you guys may remember as the one who said Fallout Enforcer was going to be peachy keen, have posted a preview of Oblivion. It's pretty much a fluff piece with nothing new. If you've read any gaming news site that posts clips of articles, you know all the stuff in there. Anyway, here's this clip:

A trademark of the series, expect the same “sandbox” style of gameplay to be present in Oblivion. The world is completely free-roaming, and can be viewed in either a first or third-person perspective.

Has anyone ever answered the question about third person view actually being playable? It certainly wasn't very good in the last one where you basically had to switch to first person just to flip switches. Aiming in third was pretty piss poor in the last one as well.

Hey, on the plus side, third person perspective in Morrowind was a great way to showcase the wonderful animations. <snickers cruelly>

Honestly, couldn't give a rat's about the crap animations, but third person perspective in a game where first person is great contributor to the presentation of the game is a bit redundant.
