<ah ref="http://gearhead.roguelikedevelopment.org/index.html">Gearhead 2</a> has upped itself to <a href="http://gearhead.roguelikedevelopment.org/gh2-0210-sdlwin.zip">version .210</a>. It's apparently closer to a playable state with all kinds of groovy new features. You can also check out some of the mecha from the game with <a href="http://gearhead.roguelikedevelopment.org/mecha_index.html">the mecha encyclopaedia</a>. I personally like the <a href="http://gearhead.roguelikedevelopment.org/mecha_5.html">Gorilla</a>. Anyway, changelog:

Unlike a regular flight system, Space Flight thrusters only work in space. They're a bit cheaper than regular flight.

There was a bug where a resurrected PC had all his damage wiped, and this wiped the resurrection counter as well. Because of this, there was no limit to how many times the PC could be resurrected. I'll have to check GH1 to make sure the same bug isn't in effect there.

Being rescued from getting stuck in space isn't implemented yet. So, for the time being, if you get stuck in space take off your helmet and rotate on the spot until your character dies, and then you'll be taken back to town.

Eh, I was never too big on space flight with mechs anyway. It seems the whole point of mechs to me is they stomp around on land. You can't stomp around menacingly in space.
