<a href="http://www.gamebanshee.com/">GameBanshee</a> has posted <A href="http://www.gamebanshee.com/templeofelementalevil/areasoftheweek.php">two more areas</a> from the original module that inspired <a href="http://www.troikagames.com">Troika</a>'s upcoming <A href="http://www.troikagames.com/toee.htm">Temple of Elemental Evil<a>. See, I'm already using that new link, told you I would. Anyway, here's a taste:
<br>
<br>
<blockquote><i>For the players:</i> This structure is some 55 feet tall, a smaller tower rising inside the greater at about 35 feet above the ground. Its entrance is accessible only by going up a curving flight of stone stairs which terminate in a landing about 10 feet above the ground. The outer door of the tower lowers to form a bridge to the stone landing. There are numbers of arrow slits around the tower, and it has a splay around the base to about 6 feet in height. The lower and upper battlements are machicolated, the merlons being pierced for archery as well. Two men-at-arms watch from its roof.
<br>
<br>
<i>For the DM:</i> Inside dwell Rufus the Fighter and Burne the magic-user. Both came to Hommlet some three years ago, and had considerable success in adventuring. They defeated a large bandit force which had plagued Verbobonc, and it is rumored that they gained considerable treasure in killing a green dragon which preyed in the Kron Hills to the west.</blockquote>

Hooked on <i>Verboboncs</i> worked for me!

Yeesh... I would rather avoid these things since they're pretty much spoilers. Come to think of it, that's an extremely asinine article. Who wants to read the specifics of the dungeon in some preview?

I think they're basically cutting and pasting things from a PDF version of the original manual, but Tim Cain has said many times that the players of the original module would be in for a new experience.

You mean especially since the information in each clipping from the original module may or may not be in the game itself? Or if it is in the game, may be heavily altered?

What I really want to know is if they got Wizards of the Coast's permission to post that module, bit by bit.

Time for someone to send a nice e-mail to WotC, to have their lawyers explain "copyright" to some kids, as that hardly falls under Fair Use and there is no indication of any permission given for that reposted material.

About 8 meters beneath sea level.
probably stepping in a big legal pile of crap here

Bit childish don't you think? It makes for a good read and...well short of any screenshots or other goodies they've got to present something or another.
Though I do agree that I'm afraid it is kinda spoily.

No, it's really no indication of what is to come in the game, has nearly NO relevence to the upcoming title other than to serve as "filler content" for their site, and basically is just a couple of copied tidbits from the modules posted for...well...exactly that, just an appearance of content.
