For those of you interested, I've just posted a list of recruitable party members for Prelude to Darkness. It might be a tad spoilery, but it doesn't really tell how to get them, just the who, what, and where of them.
Big thanks to CP McGee of Zero Sum for compiling this list!

Thanks, I requested this a while back and I'm glad to see that one has been posted.

Did you know about all of them?

Kalisco would be the only one I didn't know about, I guess, and her stats isn't such that I feel a great craving to recruit her since having a smart charismatic character in your party from the start is usually a good idea.

Anyway, some of these guys are great and I suppose it's a good idea to make it to the Barrier fast just to get your hands on Massequese as the archer n your group, especially since he comes with a kick ass bow.

There's actually a bow you get after completing a quest in Ironwood that's better. I think when I finished the game, Massques' missle skill was near 80. Man, I liked him...actually, the Vangorii in general were way cool. I hope we learn more about them in the next game...

We tried to make it pretty difficult for the starting party to get Masseque. There are a couple of ways to get him, all of which involve relatively high skill levels. He's a fantastic NPC to have on almost any party though.

The Vangesh people and what lies to the East of the Barrier leaves a lot to be discovered. It is possible that future expansions may allow the party to the explore these unanswered questions...

The Vangesh characters I met in the game were probably my favourites (well, maybe not the chef...). Would be nice to see more of the Vangorii.

True about getting Massaquese, defeting Martha would be pretty hard with a low level party.
