Per <a href="http://nwn.bioware.com/forums/viewtopic.html?topic=200579&forum=69">this post</a> on the <A href="http://nwn.bioware.com">Neverwinter Nights site</a> forum pool, it appears <a href="http://www.bioware.com">BioWare</a> kinda goofed up and released a whole bunch of details for the up coming expansion pack, <A href="http://nwn.bioware.com/shadows/">Shadows of Undrentide</a>.
<br>
<br>
Here's one of the snippets from the thread posted by <b>Andrew B</b>:
<br>

<blockquote>I found those too. Also this info can be found ingame in regards to some of the prestige class feats:
<br>
<br>
Blackguard feats:
<br>
Sneak Attack - lvl 3
<br>
<br>
Assassin feats:
<br>
Uncanny Dodge I - lvl 2
<br>
Uncanny dodge II - lvl 5
<br>
Uncanny dodge III - lvl 10
<br>
<br>
Shadowdancer feats:
<br>
Uncanny Dodge I - lvl 2
<br>
Uncanny dodge II - lvl 5
<br>
Uncanny dodge III - lvl 10
<br>
Evasion - lvl 2
<br>
Darkvision - lvl 2
<br>
Defensive roll - lvl 5
<br>
Slippery Mind - level 7
<br>
Improved Evasion - lvl 10</blockquote>
<br>
<br>
The Shadowdancer guilds require a diet high in beta-carotene to get nightvision by level 2.

Thanks to <b>Darkness40k</b> for the heads up.

What the hell? Who gives a shit? It would also appear that BioWare leaked this information TWO YEARS AGO when the 3rd Edition DM Guide was released. If someone cares enough about this to slog through the code to find the class abilites, I can't see why they wouldn't just buy the damn book.

I think the point is that BioWare leaked info about what's actually in the game. The books talk about beholders, mind flayers, and salamanders, but are they in the game? No. Will they be in the game? Well, salamanders might because they don't use any new spell types.

As for "slogging through the code," the link over at NWVault implies that the changes are pretty obvious. If you just look at the feat screen (or the corresponding descriptions in the toolset), you see the extra feats mentioned.

Of course, it still doesn't matter since the only new stuff is hack-and-slash and a probably-useless bartering skill. All that your levels of Blackguard will get you is a vulnerability to a sword of +3 Against the Ethically Challenged and some "payment up front" dialog options.
Why get excited now? If it's anything like ToB or NWN, it'll be out in the summer of 2004.

Yeah, I've actually just started playing through the SoU campaign as a Neutral Evil Druid. Man, it rules. Talking to dogs to find out where the villains went, watching my alignment shift as I make dialogue decisions... I've enjoyed the first 2 hours of SoU more than any single 2-hour span in the NWN OC.

Maybe SOU will be fun?

Chances are if you didn't like NWN; you probably won't like SOU.

This is one fo the reasons I have no interest in the MW expansions.

This sounds like more, Everything we do is better than before! that BioWare typically spouts.

SoU is not made by bioware :)

its independent, I have high hopes. Plus alot of the stuff posted on the forums implies a more conversation/role play story. Good and Evil paths, and none combat options to quests.

Bioware made the toolset which can be made to do almost any type of quest. But the SP/OC game only ever used fetch scripts (i.e. go get something, or kills ome one, and bring it back or bring someones head back) but you can do much more. Hopefully SoU will use the power of the toolset, which bioware seems unaware of.

BIo is very much involved with the expansion. Not the main ones; but they most definitely deserve credit for any quailities it may have - whether it is good or bad.

It has been said many times that SoU (yeah, SoUp... of crap! Hahahahaha) is going to be more "focused" (linear) and "action-packed" (Click. Wait six seconds. Click) to create a more, well, "focused and action-packed" game.

The design is being done by some team made up of ex-Looking Glass people, but the coding and overseeing is done by BioWare. At least, that's what they've said in the interviews.
