Throughout the game, you'll encounter numerous puzzles that range from easy-as-pie, to real stumpers. Something may seem logically simple, but will fail to work when the time calls for it. Thankfully, Arx Fatalis has extremely robust interactivity with the abundant amount of everyday items scattered around, allowing players to try multiple solutions to a single puzzle. For those of you who have played Ultima before, then you know just how many items were available for manipulation- tons. Same thing applies for Arx Fatalis, but instead of items being separate from each other, they can be combined to form new material objects. Let me give you an example: You see a bag of flour lying on the ground, and decide to pick it up. You notice you have some water in your inventory, and mix the water and flour to form dough. In the next room, there is an open kiln where you decide to place the dough to make bread. Now, you have your bread that can help heal yourself after an especially tough battle. Pretty neat, huh?

Making bread is cool. Having to eat twenty loaves an hour isn't.
