NWNVault has a preview and videos of the toolset for Neverwinter Nights 2. Since we always post a clip of these things, and toolset reading is dry, I'll bore you guys with prefab info:

He then demonstrated the prefabs, which are basically groups of other placeables and can also consist of placed effects. So a candelabra might actually be composed of many smaller pieces and placed effects of candle flames to give the final effect. What's cool about all these little pieces you get that were used to make bigger things is that they will be very useful separately in other places. He did a quick run through of the placeable list by scrolling with his mouse and it's clear that the list is much bigger than NWN, I'd have to say more than 500 for sure. Also things that were part of the terrain in the first game like houses, are now placeables and can be placed anywhere, which is better in my opinion. Prefabs can also be rotated, resized and tinted as a group, which is helpful.

For sure, dude. Totally 500. Rad, man.

Actually, I kid. That's pretty nifty, though I think they should have licensed LEGO tech for it!

LOL

I'm not going to touch the NWN2 toolset until I finish my NWN mod... in the next century... I hope.

Anyways, 500 placeables, I don't have an exact count, but that doesn't seem like it's more than NWN placeables. NWN has LOTS of placeables.

You should read parts 1, and 2 of that 3 part interview espicially you official campaigners.

It looks like NWN2 developers did listen to my complains on the Oblivion forums about the TESCS lack of prefabs. Cool and weird at the same time. Im already considering trying a Daggerfall mod with this toolset (when it comes out). Don't know why but i have some trust in these guys. I know it's not because of Volourn comments in these forums however.
