There's a first impressions of Titan Quest over at IGN. It deals exclusively with the multiplayer with the promise of a full review on down the road. Anyway, here's a clip about saving:

But unlike its action-RPG counterparts, the multiplayer sessions in Titan Quest can be saved. Like in single-player, returning to a pre-existing game will place you at the most recent rebirth fountain (and you will have to fight through the beasties you encountered before reaching the next one).

I know Sacred could do that. I believe, but could be totally wrong, Dungeon Siege 2 did that also. Pretty sure this isn't a unique feature.

Why is this so much better than Diablo's save system? It's not like you get extremely harsh penalties when you would die, and in the end that 'normal' save system makes things even more easy than they already are.

It's not a unique feature and I don't think IGN is flaunting it as such. It's just cool to know that it's in. A lot of people actually ask that question because it wasn't available in Diablo 2 and not that many people play DS2 and Sacred compared to the former title.

Well, the statement But unlike its action-RPG counterparts kind of suggests that it's unique to Titan Quest. I can't remember if the original Dungeon Siege had it as well, but I'm leaning to think it did. Doesn't that X-Men Legends 2 game have that as well?
