Noticed over at <a href="http://www.rpgdot.com">RPGDot</a> that there's some new screens from an Ultima 1 remake project being done by an indie developer called <a href="http://www.peroxide.dk/">Peroxide</a>. You can check out the screens <a href="http://pub137.ezboard.com/fmrgamemakerfrm2.showMessageRange?topicID=588.topic&start=1&stop=20">here</a>.

Wow, that's a mighty nice looking engine they've developed for that game. The reflection of the moon on the water is pure visual gold there.

I must say, those are some nice looking grassy knolls and mighty trees. I've never played the oldest Ultimas, but those pics really caught my interest.

The engine looks as if it allows huge areas and great sense of freedom, let's hope the gameplay is non-linear too, though it follows the U1 story.

Where can I get my hands on some original U1 screenshots? It might be funny seeing them together.

I think there's a few screenshots of towns and things on the main page, which is also linked in the news post as well.
