Object Software, kooky Chinese developer behind RPG Codex staff favourite Prince of Qin today put up a blurb about their upcoming action RPG, Seal of Evil. It's due out this December, which ought to make fans of Object Software pretty happy.

SOE is set in the last few years of the Warring States period in ancient China more than 2,200 years ago. At that time, Qin gradually became the most powerful state in China and began making an overall plan to conquer the other six states. Meanwhile, Qin troops kept attacking the Baiyue people living in the southwest of China. The people of East Baiyue, under the leadership of Lan Xiong, then fought a desperate war against the Qin army.Several years later, Lan Xiong and the Chief Sacrifice Wizard, Chi Huan, died mysteriously one after the other. What or who was behind their deaths? Lan Wei,Lan Xiong's daughter, began her dangerous adventure into the Central Plains to find out the truth and make her father live again…

God these action rpgs are horrible, who are they making tthe action part for people without thumbs, and whose depth perception is non-existant? And the rpg parts or usally as lacking as they are in any console roleplaying game.

Behind you.
The thing is, Prince of Qin was billed as an action CRPG, but it had far, far less action than most CRPGs that AREN'T called action CRPGs - including many side quests which were non-combat quests. I assume this game is similar.

The state of insanity.
No doubt. Prince Of Qin was definitely a nice turn from the mouse mashing Diablo 2. :) And I will have to say that I definitely hope this new one takes the same vein to heart.
