GamesDomain has posted their review of Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, giving it a Top Game rating and 4.5/5 symbols. Here's a clip:

Like the Baldur's Gate series, you are free to create the game's central character yourself: male or female, combat-focused, stealthy or tech-focused, it's up to you. For this reason, your character is the only one who has no voice actor. In a novel move, you'll get to switch classes mid-game during your Jedi training, so with this and the AD&D-like d20 character statistics system, there's lots of potential for varied character builds. If you don't fancy getting your hands dirty with the numbers, an auto-level-up button will take care of the choices for you.

There's numbers in the game? I must have missed those. Then again, I find the character system one of the weakest parts of the game.

Don't know if you are beingsarcastic;l but the numbers can be seen in the game. They are well hidden lke TOEE's. Go into the dialogue feeback screen, and there should be a button to show various rolls. If you knew this already, bleh...

Admit it pall, they reallty managed to make a great game!

Well Saint, tell us....what do you like about the game? Or does your little heart can't bear the idea of actually liking a Bio game?

BioWare has always tried to provide multiple paths through its games, and Knights is no different

Tried - maybe. Succeeded - no. I have yet to play KotOR to see if it's any different there.

Most of these KotOR reviews crawling with various half-truths about how Bioware 15 73h ub3r!!11!, so I've yet to wait for a real professional review.

I like that some of the quests have multiple ways of doing them and you can see consequences of that.

I'm disappointed, Saint. That was the perfect time to come back with a smartass retort such as "Well, the uninstaller works."

And that is for me the beginning of a good rpg. :D Fallout had it, Arcanum had it, Planescape had it and now KOTOR seems to have it as well. Looking forward to your review.

Unfortunately, it seems that most of those outside of the BioWhore fan cadre tend to remark about the speech options being the same useless pap as in every other BioWare game, if they've remarked about similar before, with each option either leading to the same result.

The state of insanity.
KoTOR has variety not seen in previous BIO games. That's why I liked it. Plus the story was engaging and had enough twists and turns to keep me occupied. Combat is a blast. Voice acting is top notch. Carth is a sad little monkey, but that's why you gotta love to hate him. The different ways to complete the quests are nice and there is discernible consequences in the ways they play out as well.

Yeah, this does happen a lot in KotOR. There's places where you get five dialogue choices, and three of them might lead to the exact same reply. That part really annoys me.
