I'm not really sure what exactly it should be called, since that link above seems to refute some recent British research.
The Story
Frankly, WHO CARES?! As with the original Dungeon Siege this game isn?t about making you care about your characters, engrossing you in a plot, or really wanting to save the world. This is about one simple thing; if it's not in your party and can't be conversed with, then it's TOAST. Simple, effective and loads of fun. Of course, if you MUST know the story, it?s this. On an island not far from the original lands where the first game took place, an ancient race had destroyed itself due its own arrogance, leaving behind the magic and technology that were both their triumph and their downfall. This island, Utrae, is one your parents frequently explored before their untimely disappearance, and now, as you come of age, it seems that you must now return to this island and discover that it's not as dead and silent as you would think?

All of which is really just an excuse to kill anything not in your party and can?t be conversed with. But mindless violence is good! It?s better to exercise it here than on your siblings, so BRING IT ON!

Shit on a shingle, boys! We have ourselves a live one!
