I have played it about a half year ago and I think the preview is quite precise.
It does look and feel like a diablo clone at first, but the spirit of the game is
more side-scroll-arcade-action-game like. It reminds me of the Dynasty Warriors
series, too.

If you what want is some deep RP experience, avoid it. But if you want some
arcade type action, it provides about 10~15 hours of good time for a bargain
price.

I've been playing the Chinese demo for awhile (though I can't understand a word of the NPC dialogue or the intro) and I have to say it's pretty damn neat. It's very close to Diablo II in terms of gameplay (e.g. not heavy on the quests and pretty linear) but the combat blows everything out of the water.

I wouldn't say it's better than Diablo2, but it is sure the best Diablo clone outthere. And I personally think it's combat part is better than Diablo2.

For those who want alot of neat loot, do not even bother try it, but for those into hack'n slash it's great.

Well, the Gems are pretty damn neat. Collect them and upgrade your equipment after you rescue the blacksmith dude.

The state of insanity.
I don't mind the action/rpg genre. I do prefer turn based for sure, but I've gotten enjoyment out of some ARPGs. This one and Sacred in particular look pretty decent and I will definitely be giving them a try. Diablo 2 was good the first couple of times through on single player. I couldn't handle the multiplayer with the exception of getting together with my friend and playing through once. The lack of variety in combat coupled with the same old linear quests again and again just didn't cut it. This game looks to at least add some fun to combat while Sacred boasts 200+ side quests.
