Most Polish reviews say it's crap.

In Poland, they changed the name (and main character's name) on last minute, as they got rights to a classic Polish comedy from the 70s (pretty much like Akella did with Sea Dogs 2/Pirates of the Carribean), while the game's plot has nothing to do with the movie apart from the WW2 setting and the character's name and voice (they got the original actor).

The state of insanity.
'Nuff said. :) Thanks for clarification. If it does come over here, maybe I'll give it a glance if nothing else good is around at the time, but I'll probably just check out the demo if they make one.

Some year ago I stumbled on a demo of the first game. It sounded fun and meta (you start in Renee's Cafe) but it was quite dreadful.
I never got the hang of combat (real-time) and quit quite quickly, quite frustrated.
So for Gods sake, try before you buy.
I looked for a demo but alas, could't find any. :(

Behind you.
The first game probably would have been really good if they'd done a turn based combat in it instead of the real time with pause. I can't see the second being any better just because it uses the same combat system. Really, if you have a game with guns, turn based is the best way to go. Very, very few CRPGs have gotten real time and guns down.

As far as I know, the second game is quite good and funny, except for lots of game-stopping bugs, and awful combat system (only a bit better than in Another War).

I got Another War for $20 Australian and I still feel ripped off. Its not worth any money at all, not $20, not 20c, not even the amount of money it would cost to download. Its the only game I own that I've never completed.
