Despite it being widely known that the game is dead, the company continues to pretend the project is still alive and well.

"Interplay's dissolution of Black Isle Studios and the concomitant cancellation of the third RPG (role-playing game) in the Fallout series is, without a doubt, the most heartbreaking vaporware event of the year," said Ron Straight.

While it's unfortunate, i'm getting a bit tired of all these 'OMG FALLOUT 3 GOT CANCELLED AND BLACK ISLE IS DEAD' awards that keep pooring out, especially when most of them are just ass-kissers trying to kiss as much ass if possible (even if the ass is dead).

I don't think Wired tried to kiss anyone's ass in this case.

Also, they didn't actually pick Fallout 3, it was user submissions.

LOL - it's pretty clear that the guy writing this article has no clue who Damien Foletto is, as he could hardly be considered an "impartial reader".

Although saying that, I agree with his sentiments - and with St. Proverbius' addition as well.

Or maybe he knows he was a dev but decided to not disclose this fact, either by request or not.
It just seems unlikely he choose Puuk's quote by accident.

I agree with Dan. The odds of Puuk being pulled from a hat of all the voters is unlikely.
