There's a review of Anito: Defend a Land Enraged over at Dagon's Lair. While there's no over all score, the high marks were for the game aspects while the low marks were for the interface. Here's a clip:

Fights are real time, without being a mouse button clickfeast (the character continues to attack as long as the mouse button is pressed). The game interface is sometimes a bit cumbersome but I finished to get used to it. Moves are not very easy, as it's being done with the keyboard. I had troubles getting around obstacles. I would have prefered a mouse movement with some pathfinding. . Well... I forgot this problem when I saw the huge quality of the scenario and of the many quests.

This would be my big complaint as well. I just couldn't get used to it to get in to the quests. However, it seems that every one that could get passed the interface did enjoy the quests.

wow what a success...

sheesh,

Boys I'm lucky ! Both rpgdot and rpgcodex talking about the Dagon's Lair...

when I heard rpgcodex was talking about my review I feared the comment... worst review ever, did he play the game or something like that... You guys have often strong (but true) words !

Anyway, continue the good work at rpgcodex ! You made me discover Teudogar... (the next game I should review... but have to play it to the end before ! ) Anyone has a way to find time to play more ?

Well, I could have mentioned the review is way too short, but I refrained. I really like a meaty review. The kind that takes a while to read and tells me quite a bit about the game.

It's actually fairly short, but there's two story lines, so that's okay. My only real problem is a lot of the outcomes occur either at the beginning or near the end if you stick to one side or the other.
