It's been a big day for Anito because GameShark also gives it a fairly good review in the body of the thing, but the score is 7.2 overall. Here's a clip:

Anito: Defend a Land Enraged is proof that it doesn't take a huge staff and gobs of money to make a compelling gameplay experience. If you go into the game to play it as an adventure game rather than a hack and slash you'll find some delightfully complex systems and lots of good dialog that only occasionally suffers from translation. With a strong, compelling narrative, 2 kind-hearted characters you want to root for and who have their own unique quests, and lots of places to explore, Anito will keep you occupied for a long time.

I've been saying that for a long time. Then again, I can name companies with gobs of money that have failed to make compelling gameplay experiences.

Holy Crap

Long time lurker, first time poster. I got this game not too long ago, and I must say that it delivers everything it promises. The storyline and characters are entertaining, everything is very well done except for combat which takes some getting used to. It's a sort of fantasy of a land that was perfect before it was colonized. Anyway, there's one thing that I think everyone should know that no one seems to mention in the reviews, the one thing that makes this game truely revolutionary; there is a bathroom in every house. I was amazed.
