That should probably be "a RPG" but the ARPG connotations were too strong. Anyway, GamingBolt have these words of wisdom:

Major Shepard had a couple of love scenes in the previous game. The bar has now been raised and the game will have more passionate scenes done in the right way. Bioware has promised that the animations this time will be much more fluid. For the first game Shepard had about 25 animations but for the sequel that number has been increased to 200.

Oh yeah, taking it to the next level. Hopefully there's some pelvic thrusting, doggy style and '69 beyond the standard collar grabbing seen in the first.

Also doing a preview is Gameolio:

The storyline is so intertwined with the first Mass Effect that Project Director for BioWare, Casey Hudson, has confirmed that we should keep our save files from Mass Effect. Apparently, our character creations and the decisions we have made from the first adventure will continue to influence our story in the sequel – unlucky for those who decided to kill Wrex in the first part.

... and lastly GameInformer:

Shepard’s combat capabilities are also more refined. The concept of overheating weapons has been scrapped, replaced by a more intuitive ammo clip appearing under your crosshair (not circular) reticle. The supply of bullets for most weapons is still infinite – you just need to reload when your clip empties instead of managing the overheat meter. These enhancements alone could pacify many players who complained about the first game’s gunplay, providing that BioWare backs up the changes with environments that take full advantage of their potential.

Your ignore list.
Great. I can already foresee the target audience of this game looking for "similar" games when they're done with this and DA:

Hey guise I heard bout a gaem calld Vampier Bloodleins and itz similar to ME2 cuz it haz a chick in a tong taht can be ur slave n u can do the nasty stuff with her. Vry mture gaem with loads of athmasphere n dark settin but itz too hardcore cuz it dunzt aim for ya n stuff

Someone please shut down the internet for that kind of people.

EDIT: no, better yet. Somebody shut down air supply to that people.

So, combat's even easier now? The overheat was the only thing keeping you from spamming bullets all over :?

And that was the problem. Don't you know that RPG isn't fun unless you point your big gun at something and blow the shit out of it non-stop?

Apparently, our character creations and the decisions we have made from the first adventure will continue to influence our story in the sequel – unlucky for those who decided to kill Wrex in the first part.
Unfortunate for those who weren't offered a sensible dialogue with Wrex. Like:
"Listen up, Wrex, we need to take down that factory. I know this is hard for you, but we don't need to destroy the cure. We will download the information and as soon as we've taken down whatshisname I'll give you the info. Wrex, you are a mercenary by nature. Work for me and I'll pay you in the future of your whole race. What'd'ya say?"

WTF? If overheating hadn't been bugged to become permanent till reload (at least in the not-removed-from-inventory version) it would have been a good gameplay element.
They really should consider an auto-win button...

Either they're insurmountable, or you can train and equip your team to surmount them. Not both. Just one or the other. I don't even care which, anymore. Just a bit of consistency is all I ask for.

You know what the worst thing about that review is? The only possible explanation of the above sentence is that game sites now hire 'journalists' who don't know what 'insurmountable' means.

New game play features such as automatic health generation system, similar to what we see in first person shooters have been added. So its safe to assume that there will be no more health packs in the game.

Well, changing clips sounds better than bloody overheating. I hate overheating mechanics, hated them since the mechwarrior games.

Now what the fuck, are you complaining about?
It has all the awesome role-playing elements you are so fond of and story and C&C even bind in to MEh1.
You should be jizzing all over your keyboard.
...
Oh wait. You are complaining about us criticising aspects that you don't give a shit about. Right?

Volourn always claimed health regeneration is shit, nothing has changed.

They are replacing it with ammo clips, which isn't a detrimental change. Either way, the player is forced to stop shooting every now and then. But ammo clips are more manageable.

And I don't really care about the regenerating health, considering the fact that the original had regenerating shields, regenerating health (with armor upgrades), and insta-heal health packs. Personally, I don't care if they amp up the health regeneration as long as they get rid of the healthpacks. I never felt any long-term stress over health bar management in the original game. In fact, I'd be happy if they got rid of health bars all together.

IMO the biggest problem with the ME2 news is what they aren't saying. Apparently they aren't doing much to fix the ridiculous level scaling or improve the exploration.

They need something to work into ME3 and DLC.

We need more info before making a calculated judgment. Can Cpt. Shepard spank ass? Will his meat cleaver be hard on the spot or does he need a fluffier before the scene starts? How many penetrations are we talking about here? Condoms? Leather? Hemp? Sheep? Is the beaver shaved? Does he give head? Does she give head? Will the ass humping have any bugs or glitches we can exploit? Do we get to roleplay?
