Judging by the [lack of any real] character development, what is known about Shepard leads me to believe that he's perpetually hard. Can we agree on this idea and strike it from Callaxes' list?

Major Shepard had a couple of love scenes in the previous game. The bar has now been raised and the game will have more passionate scenes done in the right way. Bioware has promised that the animations this time will be much more fluid. For the first game Shepard had about 25 animations but for the sequel that number has been increased to 200.

Hah, this is such a misleading quote. They're saying that Shepard has 200 animations in the game, not in the sex scenes.

It all makes so much sense now...

No wonder those old black and white war flicks were so boring. The soldiers weren't fucking each other enough!

Reminds me of those porn movies that came with a big label on the cover "Porn with a story!"...

Why does the Kkkodeks keep covering those ass effects and alpha protocols? Beats me. May just as well cover stalker the rpgwatch "when in doubt, it's an rpg" style.

It covers the base of the 'Choice and Consequence' crowd here.

At least a little bit. You can be bad or good for example. And have (soon to be) incredibly animated sex with a different partner in each playthrough.

It isn't all about us Mondblut.

It seems that there is a competition between Bioware, Bethesda and Obsidian in an effort to capture the title of the shittiest SCRPG (so called RPG, a new genre that all three Ass games and both (F)oblivion games belong to).

Hi, I am commander Sheperd, and I feature in a videogame where sex is used as a selling point.

Of course, you might expect that it would still be retarded and even insulting to an imbecile's intelligence to emphasise the importance of this by showing how many animations they made of me while I get it on with the ladies.

....

I understand that the pic is supposed to represent beating a dead horse. But somehow the original screencap that it's been shopped from seems more relevant to this kind of discussion. (for those who aren't aware, it's photoshopped from 'Office Space'. In the original scene, the three guys are doing a 'gang-land-esque' hit upon their office computer.

WTF? If overheating hadn't been bugged to become permanent till reload (at least in the not-removed-from-inventory version) it would have been a good gameplay element.
They really should consider an auto-win button...
They are replacing it with ammo clips, which isn't a detrimental change. Either way, the player is forced to stop shooting every now and then. But ammo clips are more manageable.
Oh, I'd basically agree. Only you ignored what I quoted:
The supply of bullets for most weapons is still infinite – you just need to reload when your clip empties instead of managing the overheat meter. These enhancements alone could pacify many players who complained about the first game’s gunplay, providing that BioWare backs up the changes with environments that take full advantage of their potential.
Whether overheat or ammo-clip, really doesn't make much of a difference for the gameplay. That's just it. No real change (if ammo is infinite), but they pr on about how that is some huge change that supposedly will "pacify" critics of the game's gunplay. WTF?!?
Either you criticise the game as skyway does and implement quality fps gunplay without next-gen faggotry, or you criticise it as a consoletard that doesn't understand the concept of overheating and implement the auto-win (=shiny explosions with blood and gore and nu-metal) button, or you criticise it as I would and implement overheating + reloading ammo-clips + finite ammo that requires resource management. Simply exchanging overheating with reloading doesn't address or solve any of the criticisms/problems.

Didn't all the weapons in ass effect have a single block of metal which was shaven off just a tiny bit every shot? Also, didn't the ingame notes say that this basically meant that the weapon never had to be reloaded on the field, only back at base?

If so then why the sudden need for ammo clips? They could've done something "creative" instead and said that the clip you're taking out is an overheated power cell which was ejected in order to prevent a power surge or something of the likes.

Bioware... Pfhah.

no, you have to reload it on field too, iirc. Only you can do it with any piece of metal you find, so it is not a problem at all. You auto reload in ME1 (at least, I remember Sheps reaching for his pocket and then touching the gun during fights)

The excuse for removing overheating and keeping reloading (manual, this time, so the player has something to do) could be that weapons got better so they don't overheat anymore, or something

Ya, I don't get it. Horrible as everything in ME was, now you're just going to ignore the prequel completely? It was called Mass Effect because the technology was based on ooh Mass Effect. So how can you call the sequel Mass Effect 2? Shouldn't it be Mass Effect 2: Ammo Clips? You're rewriting something that someone at BioWare must have thought was hot fucking shit as if it never existed.
