In more rogue-like news, <a href="http://angband.oook.cz/nt/ntang.html">NTAngband</a> has updated. Here's some of the changes:
<br>
<br>
<blockquote>NTAngband 10 aka "0.7"
<br>
- Made diagonal movements take more energy (otherwise movements are
<br>
isometric, while light isn't)
<br>
- Made breeders breed less while poisoned (being poisoned takes them
<br>
out of the Mood)
<br>
- Removed mindcrafters (TINSC)
<br>
- Added the Hugs and the Jewel-encrusted crown of King Kuddles.
<br>
Thanks to Ingeborg S. Norden.
<br>
- Cleaned up k_info.txt somewhat
<br>
- Added the Diablo mutation. If it hits, drink a potion of New Life
<br>
*immediately* (TINSC)
<br>
- Added a slew of random new monsters thanks to Gandalf[bot]
<br>
- Removed preserve mode. As a small consolation, a level feels "special"
<br>
if and only if it contains an artifact. (TINSC)
<br>
- Removed autoscum. If you want more dangerous monsters plus better items,
<br>
dive faster
<br>
- Modified ironman_rooms to add mayhem
<br>
- Made a minor fix to "breaking" as suggested by Kieron Dunbar
<br>
- Hacked in a little fix to the mutating items bug. The fix itself is
<br>
probably buggy, but hey, what fun is it to use software without a little
<br>
danger and excitement? As always, send me bug reports because I'm a
<br>
lonely soul without a life.
<br>
- Is it? It is! The fabled free market system has arrived at a Bree near you!
<br>
Look in the comments in types.h for more details
<br>
- Redesigned Bree
<br>
- Removed the Straight Road's special effects
<br>
- Removed the code for raw data files for good. I figure I'll not be needing
<br>
that again
<br>
- Removed Chaos patronage because I got rid of chaos warriors a while ago
<br>
- I'm not releasing the Tolkienian edit files because they're not worth using
<br>
yet. Besides which, this is NTAngband :)</blockquote>
