GameSpy has posted a little features preview of Dungeon Siege 2, telling us basically what a few of the new features the sequel will have over the original. Here's one of them:

The land of Aranna is a lot more interactive this time around. Players will be able to really impact the environment, by destroying certain buildings or even flooding areas. They'll be able to use the terrain to their advantage, using interactive parts of the map to lay waste to large groups of enemies.

Only certain buildings? The flood thing is neat, though.

Ehh I like how "interact" is "destroy". I always knew there was more to that "getting back to nature" thing than you're led to believe.

The flood thing will happen once in the game, and you wont actually see the place flood, it will cut to a black screen, cut back and the place will be flooded.

Oh, I have no doubt that you will actually see the place being flooded, but it'll really be no different than flipping a switch to turn on a light. Instead of flipping a switch to turn on a light, you'll be pulling a lever to flood an area.
