Instead of the old <a target=_blank href=http://www.thewitcher.com>Witcher</a> temporary website with basically nothing, <a target=_blank href=http://www.cdprojekt.com>CD Projekt</a> has set up a new <a target=_blank href=http://www.thewitcher.com/default.htm>temporary website</a> for the game. You can see there four new screenshots from this Aurora Engine-based game, and download E3 press materials with some cool looking art. The new website with full info on the game will open on 28th of May. Also, <a target=_blank href=http://www.cdprojekt.com>CD Projekt</a>'s website now has an English version.

Well, I prefer a good quality DivX trailers that you have to install codecs to view to some crappy QT, RM or ASF, like most trailers.

I just seriously hope that they dont botcher the Witcher universe, the books are really great and the tone to the universe is very serious and gloomy and it opens up a lot of possibilities for roleplaying, I just hope this doesnt turn out to be another Diablo clone with mindless action.

QT forces you to use the awful Quick Time player, though, while you can watch DivX with any player you wish.

I thought there were generic codecs for both Real and QT available by now?

Apple removed the generic QT codecs from the face of the Earth. Dunno about Real.

There is no need to use QT, there is a handy nice Quicktime Alternative and Real Altenative (one downside is that these both use Windows Media Player Classic, but its still a good player)

I asked the same question on their boards and they evaded it and said only "It won't look anything like NWN".

That's no downside if you ask me, Media Player Classic is the best media player out there.

Actually, they don't force you to use MPC. They're generic codecs for use with all players. Thanks!
