There's a new trailer for Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II available on the official site(linked to the left there) for those who have Quicktime installed. It's available in both a modem and broadband version.

For those who don't want to download it, the key points are You are the last Jedi and Coming Winter 2004.

There's a nice summary. Just bitch-slap people with the relevant info.

Thanks for saving me the time of downloading it, Saint Proverbius. If there's one thing I can't stand about downloading trailers for movies and games on dial-up, it's waiting the requisite half-hour to a few hours and then discovering it's crap. I think the only movie trailers I can remember that were truly worth the wait were the ones for the Lord of the Rings.

Now that I have broadband, I usually just watch game trailers if I have spare time. But yeah, that one sounds dumb.

Either way, cool beans for reporting on them (the trailers that is).

is it me or the textures look so much worse than kotor1's (i played the pc version) ? (maybe the trailer is showing the lower quality xbox version ?)
at least they added new sound effects, i like the new "neck cracking" sound of force grip and the "slashing" animation seems to be updated a bit for multiple enemy combat ( i hope they fixed it so it would show the actual combat instead of random meaningless dancing moves unrelated to the rolls )

It's thexbox version, so of course it looks like crap. As for the actual content - shows off some interesting companions. Possiblu quite differing from a dark/light side jedi. Also combat DOES look a bit more stunning. All in all, not much to see though.

what kind of lag can we expect between xbox and pc release?

I believe it's a simultaneous release this time.

Didn't it say somehwere in the trailer about the player having to make a choice?

Maybe the guy who was designing the "Chosen One Must Choose" mod was on the right path after all...
