<blockquote>THE FALL – LAST DAYS OF GAIA Website Relaunch: <a href=http://www.the-fall.com>WWW.THE-FALL.COM</a>
<br>
<br>
The German developer Silver Style Entertainment today launches a completely new website (www.the-fall.com) for their post-apocalyptic role-playing game "The Fall – Last Days of Gaia".
<br>
<br>
THE FALL is a highly anticipated role-playing game currently in the development at Silver Style Entertainment. The new website provides even more information on the game. In addition to gameplay details there also are new screenshots and other graphical content available. And more content will be put online gradually over time.
<br>
<br>
"The new website underlines the international potential of the title and is available in six languages," commented Julian Dasgupta, PR Manager at Silver Style Entertainment. "Not only are gamers able to obtain information presented in their national language, it also efficiently supports the online marketing efforts of our partners in the corresponding territories."</blockquote>

Oh yeah? So what's "shameless marketing based on vulturing Van Buren and Black Isle and giving poor, naive fans of those two false hopes" in Russian?

Cool, the new website doesn't lie about the game's combat system anymore. Now they admit it's realtime with pause.

Accordinng to Babelfish it's

I don't know what "vulturing" would be in Russian. I doubt it's even English.

It will be a race between SS Fall and Bethesda's Fallout3.
Whoever gets first on market has edge over other.
Both are PA games with similar titles.
Though Bethesda's got ElderDrool fans as a backup, whoever gets more close to Fallout "simulation" wins, right ?

Everyone loves Magical Trevor.

The Fall is going to hit the market much sooner than Fallout 3 is. They've already got something to show to us, while Bethesda hasn't done anything official besides announcing it.

Vulture is "стервятник", but there is no such word as vulturing, there are words with similar meanin though, like "основанном на спизженных идеях от" Van Burren'a и Black Isle. (but thats more in slang).

According to Google's cache from August 1st the feature list said...

"Novel fight system for real-time and simulated turn-based battles and countless tactical options develop replay value."

Looks the same to me. :P

Muah, BabelFish translated fans[people] as fans[coolers] :). Kewl. And VanBuren now is a cart buren. What is that BabelFish? Translator-bot? It translates from english to russian worse than russians do from english. Recently I found PlaneScape: Torment russian version..geez..immagine it was translated using this automated translator. Reading just installation guide made myself cry and lough the same time...any action game/arcade would live with that, but Torment? The speaking-simulator? Itys just crazy. Thanks God they tranlated first Fallout manually.

Don't forget about the other two competitors - Troika's PA project (although it's on hold for now), and InXile's Wasteland 2, which will be developed by a yet undetermined external developer...

the Fall also has a few years head-start as well, still I wouldn't say they have a chance in hell to be selling anything close to Beth's numbers. And Fo3 and W2 are at mostin pre-production from what we know. Troika's PA game at least has parts of a working engine going for it.

Whatever you do, make sure you guys don't give this game a chance and hate it ahead of time. Your lives will be richer and fuller because of it.

Excellent suggestion

BTW, you are?

He's fnordcircle, it says it right there, just above the quote in your post. Or to the left of the original post and up a bit. Fnordcircle.
